Hi,

I've just giving up & i did it through hypnotherapy & followed it with

acupuncture. It has worked a treat!!! I've had no cravings, no desire to

smoke, haven't replaced it with food to gain weight. She was a holistic

therapist so there was more of a " why " feel to it that we accessed more

of a " have to " attitude.

The acupuncture just helps me remain balanced.

Giving up smoking should be a celebration - not a loss. Learn to forgive

the smoker you were & embrace yourself with a visualisation of being a

non-smoker. It helps :)

Good luck

& many blessings

Have you tried will power?

No, I am not being flippant. I was a smoker for more than 35 years, and a heavy

one at that. I tried every remedy that comes to mind, from nicotine patches,

meditation, courses to quit, chewing gum, reducing to x number of ciggies a day,

switching to rolling them, to pipes, thinking ... " hey, if I can cut down, I can

gradually quit " . I realised that these were nothing but the mind's attempt to

trick me (the mind can be very very tricky, believe me) into thinking I was

actually doing something about the habbit.

In the end, it is simply a case of saying enough is enough, putting out that

last one, and not going back to them again. And then going through the

withdrawal symtoms, which is the tough part. And this requires determination and

will power.

NOTHING else works. Everything else are gimmicks which lull you into thinking

you are doing something about this habit.

I know....I have been through them all !

Khushroo.
