Guest guest
Exploring Spirit At The Caritas Spiritist Center, 3775 Iris Ave., Suite 3B, Boulder, 303-449-3066 Each Monday, 6 to 7:30 pm FREE! December Theme: The Other Jesus Worshipped as the Son of God, followed as a model and teacher for our human existence, revered as a great healer and miracle worker, Jesus of Nazareth has inspired the spiritual outlook of millions of people worldwide. Yet, his followers have differed widely in their interpretation of his words and example. For instance: · Regarded as the Prince of Peace, Jesus admonished his followers to " love your enemies…do good unto those that hurt you…resist not evil but counter evil with good. " Yet, through the centuries, much blood has been shed in his name. · He led a life of simplicity and service as an itinerant teacher of spiritual truth, seeking neither wealth nor external power, and stating, " The Kingdom of God is within you. " Yet enormous power structures and hierarchies have been established in his name. This month's spiritual exploration will focus on lesser-known, compelling perspectives on Jesus and his mission. Topics: • 12/1: The Solar Myth – the universal story of the God-man in various ancient spiritual traditions • 12/8: The Esoteric Jesus – perspectives from Theosophy, Edgar Cayce, the Aquarian Gospel, A Course in Miracles and more • 12/15: The Gnostic Jesus – early Christian perspectives, including The Gospel of Thomas • 12/22: The Mystic Christ – personal accounts of mystical visions and prophesies from Rudolf Steiner, Meister Eckhart, Deepak Chopra and others Exploring Spirit is a weekly gathering open to all. Each month has a theme; each week, a topic addressing that theme. The gathering consists of an introduction of the weekly topic with open discussion, followed by cleansing passes administered by the healing staff. Refreshments are served after the gathering. www.CaritasSpiritistCenter.org <http://www.caritasspiritistcenter.org/>
