Guest guest
Hi I joined this group in hopes that someone could help me with my migraines. I'm tired of taking pills and frankly I just don't like taking pills anymore. Not that I liked taking them in the first place but now I really can't stand it. And I'm tried of being drugged into a deep sleep. Any ideas? Any help you can give I would really appericate it
Guest guest
I had migraines for over 20 years until I started taking fish oil. I use the liquid form because the gelatin in the capsules disagreed with me. I take 4 teaspoons a day but the amount could vary with the individual. It took less than a month for me to notice a difference in the number and severity of my migraines, and now I very seldom have one and it goes away much sooner than it did in the past. Guest guest
Try to find a good acupunturist in your area. A good one can really help you with that. Also, if you believe herb medicine, try to find a good Chinese medicine practioner in your area. That should help too. --- On Tue, 11/25/08, Brianna <tigger2dab wrote: Brianna <tigger2dab remedies for migraines Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 4:46 AM Hi I joined this group in hopes that someone could help me with my migraines. Guest guest
Change your diet. Eliminate gluten, sugar, meat, dairy. Your migraines will be history! Guest guest
you will get many answers for this one. The cause of the migraine is very important. Many times if the cause is addressed the Migraines magicaly disappear. One factor in Migraines care is Chiropractic. Find one and get adjusted they can usually help anywhere from eliminating them to causing them to slow down to a crawl. Also there is a herb that is sold at my chiropractors that is feverfew spray. Use that spray and the Migraine goes away fast in most cases. Feverfew helps with blood supply to the brain. Some have expressed help with them by the use of cold or heat at the base of the skull. Guest guest
Sometimes a migraine can be the result of misalignment in the neck. Trust me.. I have been there!!! Joyce
Guest guest
Feverfew seems to help many migraine sufferers. A friend of mine uses it successfully. medusa - " drmm2000 " <drmm2000 Tuesday, November 25, 2008 11:42 AM Re: remedies for migraines > , " Brianna " > <tigger2dab > wrote: >> >> Hi I joined this group in hopes that someone could help >> me with my >> migraines. Guest guest
I tincture my own feverfew, and I have no problems taking it. I take it straight in the mouth. You can buy feverfew tincture at a good health food store and could try mixing it with water. It really works for me, as I lose my vision with it, and as soon as I feel that symptom coming on, I take it immediately, and the loss of vision only lasts a short amt. of time, and the one sided pain is minimal. Before I started using feverfew, the symptoms of the headache pain would last for days. Mine are brought on totally by stress and chocolate. DM In a message dated 11/28/2008 3:50:46 P.M. Guest guest
At what strength do you make the tincture please, would that stop the burning ulcers that feverfew can cause? My migraines are caused by stress, cheese and low pressure before a storm etc. Too much alcohol can also make a hangover turn into a 2 day migraine as well. ________________________________ " Teddyberen " <Teddyberen Friday, 28 November, 2008 21:33:15 Re: Re: remedies for migraines I tincture my own feverfew, and I have no problems taking it.
