MSM is a natural anti-inflammatory that may help with the pain.

Magnesium Malate is also a good supplement to take for anything muscle

related. For temporary relief at night, I suggest a Therm-Care heat

wrap.

Bursitis is typically treated with ice on the affected spot. it is a

swelling of the bursa. The term literally means iritated bursa. A

bursa is well concider it a bag full of liquid. It also could be many

other things. My suggestion is to try the ice and then find a

chiropactor in your area.

Put cold hydrotherapy (ice/cold water) on it until you get a numbing sensation

Cayenne cream can distract the pain, arnica cream brings muscle relief.

Use any oil/cream/lotion and massage your upper leg muscles (quadriceps),

The side of your leg might also be tense.

Your hip bursa is bursitis at the the greater trochanter of the femur, which is

an insertion point for the gluteus muscles.

Your gluteus maximus(bum muscles) might be overworked.... this can happen from

lots of walking or climbing stairs.

Bursitis can happen from constant frictioning in the area, (from the ouside or

from overworked muscles), acute trauma, (a direct blow to the area, or other

pathology (rare)
