Guest guest
hi I joined this group in hopes of finding someone with knowledge to help me help my son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. I would really rather not medicate him to the point of stupification, and have been trying oils and supplements with no noticeable results. Any suggestions? thanks

Guest guest
There is a call on add, adhd and autism coming up on a Tuesday evening with several mothers who have children with this, some alternative health practitioners and often a medical doctor - he is not always on the call - I will send you the information if you are interested - email me. Guest guest
hi, sorry I forgot to expound on what we've already been doing for him.? He's taking flax oil and Attention Child wafers, also a multi and a seperate calcium supplement.? His father owns a health food store, so it's been easy to get him on an organic diet and he's never been allowed to eat artificial stuff.? (Colors, flavors, etc.?)?? I really feel like his diet couldn't get much better, unless he were still nursing.? lol? Any other ideas? thanks Karen? pjb12345uk <pjb12345uk Sat, 22 Nov 2008 4:57 pm Re: ADHD and ODD ---yes lots of suggestions so glad you are trying things ---- first look a this diet his nutrition eliminarte all sweetners e numbers etc etc etc wetc get him on organic food or near so ... ypou may will have to study nutrition a bit so he gets the right amount of proteins carbs vitamins efa magnesium water and so on ..... see if that has any effect we can then try other thera[pies and ther are many i would try too but this is first phill In , " isedno2 " <naturallyreactiv wrote: > > hi I joined this group in hopes of finding someone with knowledge > to help me help my son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Guest guest
Could he still be reacting to something? For instance the wafers have soy. Nothing against soy, all 3 of my sons were on soy milk, couldn't handle the formula/dairy. Also manganese can affect behavior for some, per a quick google on child behavior, soy and manganese. I know other parents have restricted things like dairy, wheat, casein, gluten, corn, food dyes...not all at once, LOL, pick something to withdraw and see if note any good/bad change. Guest guest
personally speaking i think the medical community needs to have its own head examined for labeling things they dont comprehend. I have or had adhd and honestly there is nothing wrong with me. What is wrong is the diversion from the divine that has occured for some time now. Hence the anilitical mind took over, also known as the ego and thats when things went backwards if you will. , C indy <cwac wrote: > > There is a call on add, adhd and autism coming up on a Tuesday evening with several mothers who have children with this, some alternative health practitioners and often a medical doctor - he is not always on the call - I will send you the information if you are interested - email me. > > > Cindy > > www.cw.originallimu.com > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > isedno2 <naturallyreactiv > > Friday, November 21, 2008 12:21:40 PM > ADHD and ODD > > > hi I joined this group in hopes of finding someone with knowledge > to help me help my son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Guest guest
My daughter was labeled ADHD and my husband and I are taking her to a Naturopathy doctor. The doctor has us watching her diet which is a major biggie, my daughter is also taking omega 3's, multivitamins, and a pro biotic. Believe it or not my daughter's problem lies in the gut as with alot of ailments. Start with your son's diet, get out the junk as number one, anything with dyes, sugars, high fructose corn syrup ect. She's basically drinking spring water, seltzer water with lemon and milk (which milk doesn't bother her). We got blood work done and it showed that my daughter has a allergy to eggs. Citrus and dairy are other things to watch out for. Her naturopathy doctor told us to get her on whole foods good foods but to watch out for these other things. It's very hard to watch everything she eats but in order to help her we have to do this. We will never put her on any conventional meds they are nothing but bad. Hope this helps.
