Guest guest
A friend of mine posed a question to me and I'm posing the question to you all for your help. She has Lupus and experiences pain, insomnia and fatigue. Is there anything that she can do to combat any of these symptoms? I know that with Lupus you will sometimes experience pain and fatigue because of another friends experience with it. She also asked about getting a flu shot. Should she? Thanks for you insight on this situation. Melani
Guest guest
Hi Melani, I also have lupus along with all the other illnesses which goes along with it. My lupus doctor has always told me no flu shots. They are now saying that the flu shot is more harmful then good to those with this illness. Hope this has helped you. Guest guest
I know people who had lupus and improved their condition greatly by changing their lifestyle: diet, exercise, some habits. The best is to see a doctor (homeopath, or naturopath, that can evaluate her total situation and do the appropriate recommendations. Each case is different. I repeat: I know people who improved their health considerably. If you read the truth about flu shots you run away before finishing to read. Guest guest
I was also diagnosed with Lupus, fibro myalgia, hypothyrodism and I have hyper mobile SI joints with arthritis in my spine. I let it keep me down for a long time because I read and heard so many negatives things that I didnt think it was worth me even trying to live a normal life. I dont " claim " those conditions anymore and will tell you that if your friend focuses more on the disorder than other positive aspects of her life, it will keep her down too. Its mind over matter for me and I decided a long time ago to do the herbs to take care of my symptoms but that was a personal decision. To each his or her own. For energy, I drink green tea and love it. When I need to sleep I drink Chamomile tea. I am a big believer in tea remedies and am probably borderline obssessed with them. In my own opinion, if your friend starts to view herself as a survivor instead of a victim, she can train her mind to disrupt a lot of the signals that say youre tired, youre in pain, youre depressed and so and so forth. I know this might sound strange but I have many many times been in pain but got on the computer to research an herbal remedy and forgot all about the fact that I was in pain! Sure, the pain is still there and it hurts the same, but its tolerable, so my mind isnt focused on it at that point. I fought against the traditional idea that people with " debilitating " disorders like what I have would cause me to be miserable all of my life. Well, to be honest, I did fall into that rut for 10 years but I just turned 40 and there are a lot of things that I want to accomplish in my life. Im opening up a natural health store in two weeks and I am very excited. The economic indicators say that I might not turn a financial profit, but the profit for me has much more value than monetary worth. I have a new lease on life and am no longer focused on having health disorders. Im breathing, can see, hear and speak and as long as I am able to do these things, my life is not over. Today when my UPS driver refused to redeliver my boxes to my store, I drove 100 miles (furious as a bat out of hell)AT NIGHT and picked up my own boxes. The entire time I was driving I was in pain, but my mind was focused on getting my products so that I would not miss my grand opening. Lol...I know this post was long and I probably rambled quite a bit but I just want to tell you that in my own opinion the best thing for your friend to do is to learn how to empower her own spirit. Teas are also phenomenal. , " edgetexlady " <rbright wrote: > > Hi, Joelle! > > I have a low form of lupus. It's a pretty tricky condition.
