I have been dx with lots of different pain disorders (personally I

don't believe any of the doctors know what they are doing), and have

been on higher level pain medications (including drips)sinse I was an

early teen. Does anyone know any natural remedies that might help with

neuralgia? and other intense pain...

I'm a firm believer in an antiinflammatory diet. I have a damaged knee

from an old car accident (forty years ago), my knee is bone on bone and my

(previous) doctor told me we can have that operated on for you. I told him

" No thanks it doesn't hurt why would I want to mess with that " it's stiff

sometimes and yes I can't get down on my hands and knees to scrub the floor,

isn't that a shame? The point is that at 81 I have no arthritis anywhere but

I do follow a very healthy diet with lots of dark fruit, berries of all

kinds and no white starch, bread rice or pasta, I eat some protein mostly

fish or fowl and lots of vegetables. I buy whole wheat bread or multi

grains and I am simply very healthy. I must increase my exercise and not

sit in front of this machine so much but otherwise I mean to stay out of the

clutches of the MDs, I'm trying to find insurance that will allow me to see

an ND if I need one but so far no luck, I find that criminal. We should

have that choice. Everyone should oppose Big Pharma as I think there are

many healthy remedies out there that are not allowed to be published.

Natural medicine has worked for centuries and rxs kill as many people as

they cure.

Sorry for the rant

There are many different things that can help with pain. My suggestion

may not work for you. Mainly do to the many different causes of the

pain. Work to get rid of the cause and the pain will disappear. I

have seen a couple people that the pain is literly in the mind. When

they fret the muscles tighten up, and cause pain.

One way to go is Accupunture or a traditional chinese medical doctor.

There are many different types of pain. Neuralgia just means nerve

pain and can have many forms

Your post was quite refreshing! I'm learning now at 47 that I should have

changed my dietary intake along time ago. It's just now catching up with me.

I've been lactotarian for a little over two months but my goal is Raw Vegan. I

went to Whole Foods yesterday and purchased Veganaise but haven't tried it yet.

I did have a cup of coffee earlier with the almond milk and agave nectar. It was

quite different from what I'm use to. :-( I guess it's gonna take a little

adjustment time. But it's nice to hear that your doing well and fighting the

clutches of the Dr's. :-) You go girl!

There is a product I have heard about called Chronic Knee made by

Evergreen, that may help your knee it will take time if it works for

the knee. I went to a Herblist for my mother who wanted to get help

for her knees. He had told me about some great success with the

product. I do not remember all that he said but it should help with

the knee pain

hi Irene,

I love your message. Congratulations to everything you do... 81, wowwwww!!!!!  I

am " only "   69, but I have improved so much since I distanced myself from the

clutches of MDs that keep telling me that I need surgeries, pain killers and

numerous other drugs.  I don't touch processed foods, not even breads, but eat

only vegetables, grains and some fish (and use some herbs)... I have not felt

that good with 20...

Thank you for your great message.

Bone on bone is not sustainable.  There are some supplements which can help.

Glucosomine and Shark Cartilage are two, however they have their limitations.

Perhaps someone else has another suggestion. My mom has some difficulties as do

some others I know, and I'd like to hear responses myself.
