Guest guest
PamelaG, My family too has a history of diabetes. I was diagnosed after having taken steriods to reduce the inflammation of the brain tumor on my brain. I started taking Glucophage and it managed it well. After a blood test a couple of months ago I was found to have High Cholesterol levels and put on Lovistatin. Cholesterol and Diabetes goes hand in hand as far as the research I've done shows. My blood glucose levels started dropping after I started the Lovistatin so I was able to come off the Glucophage. BUT I am still maintaining the diabetic lifestyle in order to remain off the drugs. BUT I've also in the last two months started eating a vegetarian diet to help heal my body of the brain tumor. So my suggestion to you would be to cut out all sugars as much as possible, eat a more healthy diet (at this poing in my life I would suggest VEGAN Diet) because you are what you eat. If only I'd known this years ago!
