Guest guest
Hi, Acne often is the result of impurities in the blood due to constipation and poor elimination. Correcting constipation, improving eating habits and the application of some herbal formula on the area solve the problem. I used to have a serious case of acne until I became a vegetarian and also aware of the importance of eating well and the elimination process. Guest guest
Make sure you use a cleanser that does not dry the skin to much. I make my own toner that is half witchhazel and half apple cider vinegar with a few drops of tea tree and lavender essential oils. If thats too strong I water it down little by little. Also, acne can be caused by digestive disorders. What is your diet like, how is your digestion, do you have allergies, is there a hormone connection? Meanwhile, using Apple Cider Vinegar as a skin toner and as a drink (a generous splash in a glass of water) will get you off to a good start. Guest guest
The most important thing about treating acne is not to use products that are going to disrupt the acid mantle (the natural protective film on the skin.) The acid mantle is acidic and has a PH of between 4 to 5.5 which kills bacteria preventing it from attacking the skin. Bacteria love alkalinity and so applying alkaline products will strip the acid mantle and allow nasty bacteria to attack the skin. People with acne often wash their skin a lot (and often with very harsh products) in the attempt to remove the oil that they believe causes this skin condition. The key is to look after your acid mantle and use PH balanced products to treat acne and indeed to keep your skin looking young and healthy. Hope this helps!! , " hippiepez " <hippiepez wrote: > > hi, does anyone know of any natural treatments for acne that you know > works and is cruelty free? thanks:) >
Guest guest
In Hindi it is called kare pak. In English it is called Curry Leaves. How ever, a few leaves chewed and consumed daily, clears off the acne. Add more friends to your messenger and enjoy! Guest guest
" hi, does anyone know of any natural treatments for acne that you know > works and is cruelty free? thanks:) " > Yes! I make a treatment for my sister that she loves (it's also safe to use during pregnancy) Here are some recommended essential oils for acne breakouts (tea tree, lemongrass, bergamot-get BPT free if using on face- patchouli, lavender, geranium, chamomile to name a few) mix about 10 drops in total of chosen EOs with a nice carrier oil (about an ounce) such as grapeseed, jojoba, sesame, etc and apply over blemishes 2-3 times a day. Also giving up refined sugars, flours, alcohol, caffeine, cow's milk products and such will really help. You could even do a gentle detox with some apple cider vinegar/water/lemon juice and take this internally a few times per day. Good luck! Guest guest
Acne occurs when either the liver is to overburdened to process hormones and/or the bowels are out of balance as in having used antibiotics, birth control, too much sugar, etc. -liver detox -probiotic -good quality clay mask daily for about a week, then twice daily till you're down to once or twice a week. Follow up with an aloe vera based moisturizer. There are two that I like that also contain essential oils and I can send you info on that if you like but any good green clay should do the job--it will pull out impurities and cut down on oil. Skin may feel dry but that's not a bad thing. Give it one month of this treatment and see if it doesn't dramatically change matters -do not ever put chemicals on the skin or in the body. Check ewg.org for a list of chemical ingredients and product toxicity -eat a dairy-free diet, high in veggies and greens. See www.rawfamily.com for green smoothies. Warning: too much raw food all at once will make it worse so it's necessary to do the liver cleanse, probiotic and mask too. This is a very non-detailed list. I have all the specifics in files and can certainly email them to you upon personal request. Guest guest
PS to my last post: I just saw the post on honey and honey can make a nice mask too. Just apply the best quality honey you can get--Manuka would be good--or any non-pasteurized honey and spread it on your face on the non-clay mask days. It's anti-bacterial and has healing properties. Don't over heat it if it's solid! Place jar in bowl of warm water to soften it up. Once again though, outer treatments are not a cure. The cure is fixing the internal problem: liver or gut. Guest guest
True; harsh soaps; dishwashing liquids; anti perspirant soaps; laundry soaps; shampoos; conditioners; hand soaps; commerical soaps all of these soaps dry and irritate the skin which in turn depletes Natrural Oils on the skin like Vit. E and Vit. D; so in effect; Using hsah detergent type soaps can CAUSE acne; ezcema and psoriosis; The first step in skin health is: buy and use only natural soaps; then Vitamin B3 Niacinamide is taken daily @100 mgs. daily; the point is: Diseases of the skin indicate deficiencies of " skin health vitamins; Vitmain A; Vitmain B3; Vitmain C (lightens skin); Vitamin B12 for acne , " kirstyc4u " <kirsty wrote: > > The most important thing about treating acne is not to use products > that are going to disrupt the acid mantle (the natural protective film > on the skin.) Guest guest
Oh, yes, the clay mask helped me a lot when I had acne. It really works. Guest guest
Bacteria in the pores often leads to break outs. Internally cleansing is crucial along with external cleansing at least 2x's a day. I use hydrogen peroxide to cleanse do not rinse, then clay mask but instead of mixing with water mix with apple cider vinegar. Good luck , " evergreengarden " <evergreengarden wrote: > > Oh, yes, the clay mask helped me a lot when I had acne. Guest guest
Ensure that you don't have a zinc deficiency. You can either get a blood test through your doctor or get a simple 'zinc taste test' through a naturopath or health food shop. Treat the zinc deficiency with zinc supplementation (15-50mg/day depending on how deficient you are). Best wishes Annie , " hippiepez " <hippiepez wrote: > > hi, does anyone know of any natural treatments for acne that you know > works and is cruelty free? thanks:) >

Guest guest
My daughter had really bad acne and--for the longest time--did not believe me, when I told her to change her diet. One day an ND told her the same thing about food and she started to eat mainly vegetables, whole grains, legumes and seaweed, some virgin olive- and organic coconut oil and--of course--at least 8 cups of pure water a day. The acne was gone within a few months. Once in a while she " cheated " and got more acne, but for a long time now she is watching her diet and her face looks great. I was sure she would have scars from the awful acne she had, but nothing. Her face is beautiful now. BTW, she cleans her face with alcohol and puts aloe and Vitamin E oil on. I don't know if this may help other people, but it seems to be good for her skin. Maria
