Guest guest
I actually got myself through strep last Spring using some herbal syrups I made (and teas) as well as my trusty ground turmeric and raw honey remedy. I did actually take ibuprofen a few times for the pain, but that was the extent of my " drug use " ;o) I think it's so important to keep the immune system up with probiotics; I make my own kefir and kombucha and sometimes yogurt from raw milk and drink plenty of water. Don't underestimate the importance of water intake for health!! My friend gave me some wise advise when I was battling strep; she said 'don't let your ego get in the way of you going to the doctor if you NEED to.' Well, I didn't need the Dr. this time, but I think this is a good thing to remember. If you cannot treat it yourself, sometimes you actually need the help of a --sputter...cough... a-hem.. Doctor. ) Connie Lots of November Specials! www.LostRiverNaturals.com Organic Herbal Handcrafts Bath Goodies, Body Care, TEAS, Massage and much more! Guest guest
I love the sputter - cough (hehe). I have just cancelled my supplemental insurance because I figure the $127 a month they charge me will buy a lot of natural remedies which I am going to use anyway. I am so anti MDs and big pharma, the things I've been reading lately (see Natural News) are almost criminal, the restrictions imposed by the FDA, the horrific side effects from a lot of medication, the whole rotten pile is downright disgusting. I had my toe nails clipped by a podiatrist and he charged Medicare for foot surgery, for five minutes work. Now I hear he's retiring, he didn't look old enough but I guess he's made his millions and he won't have to deal with feet anymore. Well I hope the populace comes to their senses soon and puts a stop to it but I won't hold my breath. Guest guest
But if you need a doctor, you could choose a homeopath, naturopath, or a member of ACAM, for your health's sake. Guest guest
How much trouble is it to brew your own kombucha. I love it and my body craves it , it does get somewhat expensive to purchase already made. It is a wonderful drink. I agree on the immune system, we have managed to stay well for over 5 years in our household because of what we do to take care of our health.
