Guest guest
Is anyone using Hyaluronic Acid? I just bought some, been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck. I am only 45. I bought the purest form, liquid in which I put under my tongue daily. It's only been a few days. Also bought some for my elderly aging dog who has hip issues. Is this stuff for real? I seem to think so. Any opinions are appreciated! Thank you, Shari W. Idaho
Guest guest
I've used MSM for years I put it in every beverage and I have bone on bone in my knee and no pain whatever, just stiffness sometimes. I found the crystals on the internet for a very little price as you only use a little at a time. I'm 81 and I have no arthritis at all and I credit the MSM for that. My neck goes crickle, crackle but I have no pain again. I think that product is the reason. It is a form of sulphur (not sulfa). Completely natural and no side effects. Guest guest
I would try diet and exercise first, before I resorted to any isolated/synthetic supplements. Go back and read message #29650 - The article is " Nutritional and supplement strategies for inflammatory and autoimmune conditions " - lots of great info in there that you can use for any inflammatory condition. , " Shari " <swilcox wrote: > > Is anyone using Hyaluronic Acid? > > I just bought some, been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck. Guest guest
yes, Shari, it is definitely good stuff but you need to take it for at least 30 days or longer before you'll notice any relief. It has done wonders for my cat who has arthritis in a back knee joint. Judy - Shari Saturday, November 01, 2008 10:58 PM Hyaluronic Acid Is anyone using Hyaluronic Acid? Guest guest
Thank you for all the responses. After losing a significant amount of weight and do exercise, I am down to my normal weight now. So that is out. I eat so healthy now (for the last 2 years) and the energy abounds. This is only in my neck......the new findings, hence trying HA. I have no other issues with joints/knees/bones. I take HA in its purest form - liquid, pure, and expensive! I will keep on it. Thanks again. Guest guest
Shari I just logged onto Pubmed.com and put in Hyaluronic Acid for the search engine. there are nearly 14000 studies on the product. There are nearly 900 studies on Hyaluronic acid AND Osteoarthritis. So this is taken very seriously in the medical community. I am not sure how the product is administered to the affected area in each study. It seems though many times the substance in injected into the joint. I also do not know how well it is absorbed or if it is affected by stomach acid. My guess is badly due to how it is suggested to be administered. Your putting under the tongue bypasses the digestive tract. That would allow the body to put the substance where your body feels it would work the best.
