Guest guest
I noticed today that my Dam's back right teat feels hard to the touch all the way back towards the anus so im assuming she has a blocked milk duct or developing mastitis? I have started applying warm compresses on it what else can i do give her to treat this if its the case? I naturally rear completely ...... She does not seem bothered by it, it is normal looking not red looking or has any bumps or sores looking to start its just hard. She is eating fine and her temp is fine .....pups are just 4 days old and she is only nursing 2 so maybe too much extra milk causing engorgement or????? Thanks! Worth a try! I believe you have to wilt the cabbage leaves so they are pliable. Do a Google on cabbage leaves for nursing problems and you'll probably find details somewhere. Good luck! Ien in the Kootenays, who was a fine cow in her long ago days and never needed cabbage leaves http://freegreenliving.com
