Guest guest
These swags are beautiful and aromatic and make a fun project. Enjoy! You'll need ~twigs ~seed pods, small pinecones & whole cloves ~dried fruit: 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime ~glue sticks and all-purpose glue gun 1. Gather twigs into a well-balanced bunch, wrapping wire around base of twig as you go so bunch will be secure. Make two bunches. 2. Overlap gathered ends about 6 " /15cm and wrap securely with wire. 3. Glue pods out from center. 4. Arrange fruit in center over pods and glue in place. Glue a small pinecone or clove to the center of each fruit slice. Making Dried Fruit 1. Slice fruit into even slices approximately 1/4 " /6mm thick. 2. To slow dry, spread slices out on a non-rusting screen and let dry for about 2 weeks in a dark cool space. There is no need to turn pieces. 3. To quick dry, spread slices out on a cookie sheet. Place in oven set at 200 degrees for about one hour (drying time will vary depending on oven.) Turn slices every 15 minutes. *Swag recipe adapted from the book 101 Crafts Under $10, from the editors of BUTTERICK. minimalisticliving/ " in my dreams, your dreams come true....
