Guest guest
I am 35 years old and suffer from VERY bad monthly periods. My periods are so heavy that I have to carry extra clothes with me! My doctor did an ultrasound and found that I have fibroids in my uterius and wants to do a hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries. Has anyone else gone through this? what can I expect, etc?
Guest guest
I am amazed that doctors continue to make this recommendation for uterine fibroids. PLEASE, know that you have options! Yes, the fibroids are causing your heavy bleeding. Fibroids are the result of an excess of estrogen and are very common in women your age. As you approach actual menopause and estrogen levels drop, they will shrink and often disappear entirely. But, at only 35, that's years away. In the meantime, know that there are MANY natural approaches to reduce and even eliminate your fibroids, which I would be happy to share with you. And, even if they are large and problematic and you want to just get rid of them fast, there are options that are MUCH better than a hysterectomy. I've helped many women save their uterus. Guest guest
I had polyps and cysts..my Dr recommended a procedure called Novasure. It's an " alternative to hysterectomy " I did the procedure on Wednesday..all is good, no pain. You may want to look into that..
Guest guest
Novasure was what the doctor first taked to me about and thought that was going to be a great option for me - quick, less complications, etc. After doing an external and internal ultrasound they found the firbroids. They are located in a way that made the Novasure impossible for me. Nothing with me is ever simple!! I got pregnant with twins while on birth control pill only one month after my wedding! Guest guest
What do they do in this procedure? I ask you because I have ovarian cysts and doctors only recommend surgery. Guest guest
Rena, Ovarian cysts are not uncommon and while an MD will say that surgery is the only option, that's just not so. There are very effective alternatives to surgery for both fibroids and cysts. Two suggestions are balancing excess estrogens (which causes fibroids and cysts) and using castor oil packs. Guest guest
I'm experiencing similar problems. They say put me on prometrium to stop the bleeding (not taking it) & I'm waiting to have an open myomectomy done. Is there a less invasive surgical procedure known to address fibroid tumors within the lining of the uterus that allows the patient to maintain fertility? All information would be helpful. : evergreengarden: Wed, 22 Oct 2008 14:58:28 -0400Re: Re: Hysterectomy due to fibroid tumors I have tried several methods and so far nothing relevant occurred. Guest guest
I had grapefruit size fibroid tumors and after I started drinking the Original Limu , they shriveled up and are now gone , I can't tell you exactly how long it took , I just know that when I saw my Doctor for my physical , they were gone. The herb red raspberry also helps. I do know of another woman in San Antonio who also took the Limu to get rid of her fibroid tumors. Guest guest
I tried Limu for the ovarian cysts for about 2 or 3 months, but I didn't see any difference.
