Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about cottonseed &

rapeseed oil other than they aren't good for you? We bought the

peanut butter crunch cereal that isn't captin crunch brand and this is

the second time my daughter ate it and her behavior was really bad.

She was impatient, wiggling alot out of fustration and totally out

there. I searched the ingredients and found that the rapeseed oil

causes irritability and the cottonseed oil I had no luck with, other

than the sugar and BHT added I'm trying to figure out why she was

acting like this. I won't be letting her eat this cereal again. I

was just wondering if anyone knew anything about these oils? Thanks,

Genevive

Our diet is full of Omega 6 fatty acids. This is one of the many

sources of it. The problem is not with the Omega 6's as such but with

the amount that is in our diet. When this fat is out of balance it

causes many problems. From a conference I just went to with Dr Dan

Murphy the best way to combat the problem is omega 3's and to get your

ratio checked. The closer to 1:1 the better. Do not go over board

because the imbalance is the problem. Some of the sources are

cottonseed

soy

corn

plus many many more sources

Cottonseed, soy, corn, etc would be sources of omega 6, not omega 3...........
