Guest guest
Tea Tree Shampoo (Paul Mitchell makes the best) is very effective for dandruff, over-active sebacious glands and flaky scalp. Also, a product called Naturuff, made by Iden has antibiotic and antifungal properties, all derived from nature. I have been a cosmetologist for 34 years, and these have been the products I have seen the best results with. Kathleen Dandruff is often a sign of a Candidis over growth.. You will find anything antifungal will help..add abit of teatree oil to your shampoo..but ultimately you might like to look at what you are eating and treat yourself internally. Guest guest
If you live in an area that has " soft " water, you can wash your hair in plain and simple SOAP (saponified oils, not petroleum-detergent " bath bars " ). When I lived in a soft-water area, I used nothing but the natural soap I made, and my hair was great, no scalp-flakes, no scalp itch. Now I've moved to a hard-water area, and cannot figure out any way of shampooing with soap other than saving rain-water to pour over my head, and that's just too big a hassle right now. So, I'm using detergent shampoos again, and my scalp is kinda irritated, and I have some flakiness...
