Reflexology can be helpful. See htp://reflexology-research.com I once knew a husband who worked his wife's feet during a difficult pregnancy with twins. Her varicose veins disappeared even before the delivery. Adelle Davis mentions a case of varicose veins, also pregnancy related, that was cured with large amounts of vitamins C and E. I also learned somewhere that varicose veins are always linked to a congested liver. So anything you do to help your liver is good for your varicose veins. They may not disappear completely, especially if they have been there a long time, but all the above measures will benefit your all-over health and are pretty harmless. I can attest to the liver/veins connection from personal experience. I have some varicose veins, nothing that bothers me really but they are there. My liver likes to be respected. All the women in my family execpt me had their gallbladder removed. When I indulge in too many of the good things of life, like alcohol and greasy stuff, my liver lets me know it is not happy and my varicose veins are definitely more pronounced. The Liver/ varicose vein connection makes sense from a Chinese med point of view as well, in that Liver governs chi flow. Any kind of stagnation: varicose veins, cysts, tumors, etc, is a Liver chi flow issue.
