Steroid cream alternative

Hi,

My daughter, 6, has had these red bumps for a few years. I've tried

eliminating several foods, changed soaps, etc. We've added supplements,

such as fish oil and tried colloidal silver. We are running a blood

panel to check her allergens. The bumps come and go. She just got a

prescription for hydrocortisone cream, which I would prefer not to

use. Any simple alternative suggestions to treat the skin? And

suggestions as to what part of her body may need cleansing, etc?

Thanks,

Suma

Hi Suma! My 5 year old daughter has skin issues as well. You are

correct in not wanting to use the steroid cream; this causes more harm

than good b pushing the rash deeper into the body damaging other organs

and the vital force. I have been using a few Ayurvedic herbs mixed

with a little honey for Lola. Triphala which is a gentle cleansing

herb as well as manjista for cooling and cleansing the blood, liver and

digestive system. I also make an organic herbal salve with neem leaf,

goldenseal, marshamllow root, lavener and st john's wort. This is

great for healing, nourishing, relieving itch, and preventng infection

from scratching. Email me if want more info. I have a small online

herbal business (organic). www.lostrivernaturals.com I began making

products to use for myself and family out of a frustration with the

choices out there!

Connie

Hi Suma,

I thought I responded to your question, but don't see it. My 5 year

old has similar problems with rashes. I have been using Triphala and

Manjista, 2 Ayurvedic herbs, very safe and great for cleansing and

cooling the digestive system. (Banyan Botanicals is a great org. herb

co.) The liver may need some extra attention, maybe with some dandelion

or burdock root decoctions. You can mix this tea with something more

appealing to her like with juice or her favorite drink.

Also, I make a salve with Neem leaf (a WONDERFUL herb for healing skin)

along with marshmallow root for inflammation, lavender for skin health,

st. John's wort for itching and pain, and goldenseal root for

preventing infection. You can see the other ingredients on my webste

www.lostrivernaturals.com I use all organic herbs in every product

and no chemicals or any other undesirable or toxic ingrewdients.

Warmly,

connie

A couple that I have tried for rashes and have had some success with is

Comfrey which can be found in a product called burts bees. Also tea

tree oil found in any bath and body shop or health food store. The

last one is the hardest to get but the natives in Alaska love it that

is Devils club cream from back bay botanicals. These all work for skin

related conditions and range in help from bruising to rashes.

Do you know the ingredients in the Devils Club Cream?

If it has camphor, those using homeopathy should stay away, as it

cancels the remedies.

Thanks,

Maria
