Guest guest
I have a friend who is taking " Rhodiola " in the product Rhodiola Force 100. She said she is always tired and apparently never quite feels well so began taking this. I have little more to go on than that unfortunately. Has anyone had experience with this herb? Thanks Michele
Guest guest
I've used Rhodeola Rosea with several people .. including one with PTSD and my partner who has MS What I have found is that it strengthens and balances the Adrenal Function. The effect of this is twofold: in both cases, it appears to have replaced an SSRI (Beta Blocker) by reducing the stressor related adrenal hormone levels in the brain and reducing the PTSD regressions. Less easy to prove was the result with my partner .. but it has reduced her sensitivity to stresses (and patterns) which trigger MS Exacerbations. In both cases there was an improvement in sleep patterns I don't personally know the product you mentioned but what I used was a liquid herbal extract with the recommended daily dose divided into 3 .. taken morning, midday and night. It seemed to be no different whether it was taken before or after meals. > I have a friend who is taking " Rhodiola " in the product Rhodiola > Force > 100. > She said she is always tired and apparently never quite feels well > so > began taking this. Guest guest
I have that also and have been skeptical about taking it. I would also like to hear if others have tried it and their results. It has a common name " Arctic Root " .. based on its first sources in the high altitudes of Siberia The tincture is made by Alcohol extraction but, it's not what I would call an " alcoholic drink " .. although, having seen what they add to some of the " pop " drinks, it wouldn't surprise me if they did make one up .. Its also being used as one of the ingredients in some of the newer fitness products and performance supplements The following references may help Rhodiola rosea: A Phytomedicinal Overview http://content.herbalgram.org/abc/herbalgram/articleview.asp?a=2333 (American Botanical Council) Swedish Rhodiola Rosea Extract Effective In Treating Mild To Moderate Depression In New Clinical Trial http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/92465.php (Medical news today) Rhodiola rosea: A Possible Plant Adaptogen http://www.smart-drugs.net/Rhodiola-rosea.htm (Smart Nutrition)

Guest guest
Great to hear Chris! I added 3 Rhodiola plants to my herb collection earlier this year. They are like a tiny Sedum. They are taking their time growing, but at least they are alive. It looks like tinctures are a few more years away. Ien in the Kootenays, enjoying a rare computer break
