I have her on a Veg diet and she takes Pro biotics and krill oil..

go to earthclinic.com and read about the benefits of using blackstrap

molasses for menstrual issues. Also, a calcium, magnesium zinc combo

supplement is very beneficial if taken consistantly.

Could she have Endo? Does her period its self hurt? I was like this with my

endo, I was on heavy narcotics and nothing helped. I can give you a diet

that I used that helped a little bit, and suggest some herbs, but with endo

there is really nothing she could do that will totally take the pain away.

Besides surgery, and that only helps for a few, and can make things worse in

the long run. Feel free to email me off list, and I will give you my phone

number and we can talk if you want. I really feel for her. It is the worst

type of pain. I used to be so afraid of my periods coming. But thankfully it

appears that giving birth took the endo away! yay!

Susun Weed offers a lot of wonderful information, however I would

strongly suggest avoiding potent phytoestrogens like red clover for

your daughter. It spikes estrogen production and she has plenty of

that! Instead, utilize approaches to balance estrogen and

progesterone levels.

Avoid soy. Switch to hormone free dairy products and be sure she

isn't using endocrine disrupting chemicals in her body and hair care

products. Watch out for plastics (microwaving and freezing food and

water).

Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and cut back on processed

foods. You might also want to reduce her salt intake and have her

drink more water. Avoid soda and other caffeine products. Use B-

complex vitamins, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin E are helpful.

Michael's has an excellent multiple vitamin made specifically for

teen girls with some very balancing herbs. (Note: Dong Quai is not a

phytoestrogen!) http://www.michaelshealth.com/products.asp?id=151

Also, daily exercise and stress-relief techniques like meditation can

help. She can also use progesterone cream and vitex to balance the

excess of estrogen that causes cramps and mood changes.

Have you tried essential oils? There are several that might help. If

you are interested I can provide a few names for you.

I have the same problem. I'm in my third month of using EO and have had

amazing results.
