Guest guest
I'm curious if anyone has tried a watermelon juice cleanse? The owner of an alternative health bookstore once told me about it. You juice the entire watermelon, she said, including the rind. She warned me that you feel like you have the flu for 2 days but, after that, feel great because it got a lot of toxins out of your body. She recommended that I try it. I didn't have a juicer at the time. Now I bought that juicer that they advertise on TV, the Jack LaLane juicer, and I'm disappointed with it. I had a juicer years ago that I bought for less money and from a local store that worked better than this Jack LaLane juicer. I doubt that this thing could handle any kind of rind much less watermelon rind. Before I go out and buy a hardier juicer just to juice watermelon rind, could anyone tell me if they've heard of or tried this watermelon cleanse and, if you tried it, how it worked for you? - Anna

Guest guest
Only do the watermelon cleanse if you don't care if you never ever eat watermelon again. You will be sick and tired of it. Same thing with grape/grape juice cleanser. Guest guest
I've done the 10 day watermelon cleanse as written about in Bernard Jensen's Bowel & Tissue Cleansing book. I happen to love watermelon so it was no hardship for me. It's a great cleanse and you shouldn't feel hungry. I didn't use the rind though. Make sure you use only organic if you use the rind too. How sick you feel depends on how toxic you are. I had done extensive juicing before this so I didn't get the flu-like feeling although I did have a headache.
