I know some ladies who swear by Motherwort tincture for that problem.

The botanical name is Leonurus Cardiaca. It is very easy to grow if you

have a yard. Let's correct that, it becomes a blinking WEED.

Do some research on it before you start, OK?

Hi Peggy,

First, it's important to know if you're in menopause (defined by 12

full months without a cycle) or perimenopause (the years leading to

actual menopause.) Determining which of these 2 phases of " the

change " you're in is essential because many of the herbs (including

Motherwort) that are helpful in menopause can actually be a poor

choice (and even be dangerous) during perimenopause.

Also, remember that the entire endocrine system is impacted by your

changing hormones and many women experience blood sugar and thyroid

issues during perimenopause, which can both manifest with heart

palpitations.

Heart palpitations are common in perimenopause and are often just the

result of wildly fluctuating hormones. Be sure to avoid too many

stimulants - coffee, cola's, chocolate, etc.

As your hormones balance (closer to actual menopause and/or with the

support of the proper herbs, supplements for your unique needs), your

heart palipations will likely vanish. But, if you have concerns, be

sure to see a medical professional.

Peggy:

I was suffering from the same thing and someone made me try Kangen

Water. I didn't believe water could help, but tried it anyway. It

WORKED!!! Since then I have learned so much about water... I became

such a believer I now promote this water. Do your own reasearch... But

if you like look at my link here www.livingalkaline.info

<http://www.livingalkaline.info> and go and get a few good books i.e.

Alkalize or Die, The Ph Miracle , another good one is Whats The Big

Deal About WATER. I highly recommend those books.

The adrenals need special attention during menopause. Ginger root,

licorice root, wild yam, dong quai, etc. can be made into a tea by

simmering about a tsp per 8 oz cup of water in a small saucepan fro

20-30 minutes, strain and drink 3 cups per day.

Other herbs to look into include black cohosh for hot flashes,

motherwort is a specific herb for menopaue, raspberry leaf,

oatstraw, and nettle are very high in calcium. Yellow dock root,

nettle, alfalfa are high in iron.
