What to do about a tick?

Hello,

I live in Michigan. Yesterday I was completely shocked and grossed out

after finding a tick on top of my head. It felt like it was bloated a

bit and after confirming with my young adult children that I actually

had a real live tick embedded in the top of my head I had my daughter

remove it.

It took 3 tries to get it out and once it came out it didn't look like

it was bloated. Could it have " dumped " its belly contents back into my

head and if so, what should I do about it?

The spot is still a bit tender and I've had a very very dull headache,

hardly noticeable.

I popped a few probiotic caps (14 strain) and took some Vit. C. Is

there anything else I can do to make sure I don't get an infection or

to counteract any of the possible toxins it may have injected?

I appreciate this awesome forum and hope for some info on this. I still

have the heebie jeebies!

Juli

You should take Isoproyply Alcohol (or rubbing alcohol) and put this

on a cotton ball; and then hold the cotton ball on the spot on your

head; do this often for a few days to destroy and germs or bacteria.

Then after that; dab any veggie oil or baby oil on the spot for a few

days; if you develop a rash with a red ring; you may antibiotics; a.--

Last time I got a tick, I put tea tree oil on the bite, and took a

bunch of herbs and stuff, don't remember.

But for next time, maybe you can get that handy little thing called

the " Tick Twister " . I just googled it and they are available a lot of

places, like Amazon, for like $3-something. I always know exactly

where my tick twister is; fortunately haven't needed it since a few

months after we moved out of the woods. The last thing I want to do

is squeeze tick juice into my body (sorry, I know it may have already

happened, but with enough fortification, you should be fine. Like

somebody said, watch for that red ring, and whatever other danger signs.)

Hi Juli - I'd clean off the site with diluted grapefruit seed extract,

then watch for any symptoms cropping up. I had Lyme Disease, and the

best way I can describe how I felt it is like having the worst flu of

my life, minus the respiratory symptoms. My joints ached badly, my

whole body could hurt, I was fatigued and so on. That didn't come

about, though, until probably 6 months later.

If you do end up with Lyme Disease, know that there is holistic

treatment that works. I didn't accept a single Western medicine

approach, and I am fine today.

Take care,

Cindy

How did you go about removing it? The technique is very important. You

can catch lyme disease by the infected tick injecting blood back into

the wound. The treatment for lyme disease can be very nasty ( they

threaded an antibiotic line directly into my heart through my arm )and

the disease itself can be very debilitating. You may want to go see a

doctor a.s.a.p.

You should also send the tic somewhere to get it tested to make sure

it doesn't carry the lyme disease. I'm not sure where they do that.

When I had a tic bite, I got it off and was going to the doctor for

another matter, so took the tic with me and he said he would " send it

in " to make sure it was lyme free.
