Guest guest
Hi, I have been facing some hormonal and primary PCOD problem. I was initially diagnosed with marginally high prolactin levels. Later it was cured when I started taking Chandraprabhavati. However now even after 2 yrs I have not been able to concieve. I had a laparoscopy 6 months back. The reports said I had adhesions which were removed and everything else was fine. My doctor construes this as an ovulation problem. To aid ovulation I have been regularly taking glycomet thrice a day and litrofil for first 6 days during my periods, as per my doctor's prescription. I have been following this medication for more than 8 months now but do not see any improvement in my case. I currently weigh 45 kgs only I'd like some advice, herbs or anything else that works. Thanks a lot, K Gawans
Guest guest
HI, I was told to not drink soda, increase your fiber intake and eat lots of green veggies or take a green veggie supplement. Within 2 months, i was pregnant & now i have 3 wonderful children. Its worth a try. It worked for me and & was dx when i was 20 yrs old with pcos. I am now 43 just having our last child 20 months ago. If someone had told me what i know know some 20 to 25 yrs ago, i could have been a young mom with children instead of a older one with young toddlers. Hope i helped you. Good luck & i do so hope it all works out for you. Its frustrating, depressing, lonely and no one can really understand until they have walked in your shoes. Good luck! Guest guest
" The reason why changing to a diet based on the principles of Nourishing Traditions is the first step in the therapy of PCOS is that your ovaries need the animal fats, and yes, even the cholesterol found in food in order to make estrogen and progesterone, the correct female hormones. Swollen ovaries is a condition analogous to goiter, when the thyroid swells in response to iodine deficiency. Goiters often also result in a hormonal imbalance leading to hypothyroidism. In the case of PCOS, the starvation of the ovaries causes them to become cystic, swollen and eventually unable to regulate the synthesis of their hormones. The other main dietary trigger for this imbalance is that when the proper dietary fats are missing, they are inevitably replaced by excessive carbohydrate consumption. This results in excessive insulin production, weight gain, abdominal bloating, and eventually will itself cause hormonal shifts. The biochemistry of this process is well described in the book The Schwarzbein Principle which also suggests a diet based on the principles in Nourishing Traditions, along with a restriction to about 75 grams of carbohydrates per day. More good fats and fewer carbohydrate foods should help in restoring your hormones to their proper balance.
