Guest guest
Does anyone know an alternative remedy for tachycardia, aka fast heartbeat. I am 56 old woman, with moderate high blood pressure and tachycardia, taking medication for both ailments. But even though I take my meds each morning, towards evening my pulse is around 90. I'd like some advice, herbs or homeopatic or anything else that works. Thanks a bunch, Lucia
Guest guest
My first thought is magnesium. Most Americans are pretty deficient in magnesium, which deficiency can cause heart problems, asthma, all kinds of things. I heard about a doctor that's done a lot of research on magnesium, but obviously, it won't become news or common knowledge until we get the pharmaceutical companies out of our government. I'm not totally sure, but I think you have to get that from a Dr. But, that being said, this stuff really worked. He did stress that it's not a corrective homeopathic, so it should only be used for episodes. Pekana also has a remedy called cardio-norma for corrective, and additionally, I'd look into good whole-food nutrition as well. Something like Standard Process Cataplex B + Cataplex G perhaps (which would give you all of the B Vitamins in a whole-food format). Also, I haven't tried it, but Dr. Schulze has an herbal heart formula that many folks have tried and found good results from. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Lucia, Your current medications may be causing your problems. Some medications actually begin to cause the problems they were originally taken to help. I'd Google " problems with _________ <<<< enter the name of your medication. And I'd see what pops up. You may be surprised. I know some folks who were given Ativan, Klonopin, or Valium for palpitations and those meds eventaully made their symptoms worse. Guest guest
I also have this and even hard exercise such as jogging and bicycling a couple hundred miles a week did not bring it down, only prescription medication and I still have a problem. After exercise it takes a very long time to get my heart rate under 100. Though deep breathing will bring it down. Guest guest
I have had the out of control fast heart beat off and on for 26 years. I have had my heart race up to 274 beats per minute. For hours. The Docs put me on Verapamil. Once a day. And take if my heart takes off with a fast heart beat. Then last year, a Cardiologist put me on a Beta Blocker. This works well. I have not had an episode since taking the Beta Blocker. I have an extra nerve running through my heart. Sometimes, the nerve jumps off its regular path onto this extra nerve. That is what makes the heart go off its regular beat. Gale Park Frederick **************Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com! It has an action similar to Digitalis, the source of heart drugs, but Hawthorn is more gentle and safe to play with However!! I would NOT mess with a herb, no matter how harmless, if you are on medication. If you possibly can ask your doctor if he'd be OK monitoring you while you experiment. An excellent heart tonic that includes Hawthorn is http://straussheartdrops.com

Guest guest
I have a fast heartbeat and high blood pressure, too. Someone brought this up a couple of months ago here on this list and recommended Dr. Strauss' Heart Drops so I'm using them now and, so far, no change on the blood pressure but my heartrate is slowing. It's been 95 for YEARS even though I walk 3 miles a day and was taking spinning classes for awhile. I go to the gym, I lift weights, I swim, but still high blood pressure and fast heartbeat but, since starting the Dr. Strauss' Heartdrops, it's started getting better. I've only been on them maybe a month so I have hopes of more change in the future. - Anna , " Lucia " <lucia_n36 wrote: > > Does anyone know an alternative remedy for tachycardia, aka fast > heartbeat. Guest guest
Hello! You could use some natural remedies - tea plants and so, for curing your problems. You can use plants such as hyssop, birch tree, hedgethorn, plantain, melilot, knot grass, and mistletoe. You might find some interesting recepies on www.vitanaturalis.com I used some from that site, and they very useful. Best regards!
