Guest guest
Presently, I am using Eucalyptus Oil diluted in water to keep the bugs away. This does pretty good, but does not repel the ticks. Someone else told me that peppermint oil and cinnamon oil would keep the ticks away. But is that Cinnamon leaf oil or Cinnamon Bark oil? For good measure, I might buy some Citronella Oil too and put in the mix. So the mixture would be several drops of the following mixed in a pint of water: Citronella Oil Cinnamon Leaf Oil (or should it be Cinnamon bark) Peppermint Oil Eucalyptus Oil I have also heard of using Rose Geranium (but that might attract bees). Lavendar Oil (but this has been linked to gynomastecia in boys). And also catnip Oil. Someone in this forum emailed me a good combination of oils to use together, but I cleaned out my inbox and lost the recipe. What would be the best combination of oils in your opinion to repel ticks, chiggers and mesquitos (as well as a wide spectrum of other insects)? I am getting ready to place an order on-line.
