Guest guest
i suffer from both heat and sun exhaustion/stroke. on saturday i will be going to the National Spina Bifida conference in Tucson, AZ where the temp will be 100+. i'll be in the hotel most of the day, but at nite i'd love to be able to go out and explore the city w/o worrying about passing out. if memory serves me correctly, i think there's something that i can put around my neck or wrists to keep me cool. does anyone know what i'm talking about? where can i find them (i'm short on time so ordering online will get it here too late). much love in Christ, sara 22/f/WI
Guest guest
Sara, You might want to consider consuming some type of electrolye before venturing out. Also, when I'm out in the summer, I keep a small spray bottle of water and witch hazel in my bag. It has an amazing effect, making one feel instantly cooler. I prepared larger bottles for a building project earlier this year. Those who tried it said it really helped them stay in the heat longer. , " Sara Schneider " <dancing_christian_mocha_girl wrote: > > i suffer from both heat and sun exhaustion/stroke. on saturday i will > be going to the National Spina Bifida conference in Tucson, AZ where > the temp will be 100+. i'll be in the hotel most of the day, but at > nite i'd love to be able to go out and explore the city w/o worrying > about passing out. if memory serves me correctly, i think there's > something that i can put around my neck or wrists to keep me cool. > does anyone know what i'm talking about? where can i find them (i'm > short on time so ordering online will get it here too late). > > much love in Christ, > sara 22/f/WI >
Guest guest
Sara, Something that may be helpful for you is drinking aloe vera juice and taking a " green supplement " (Super Algae, pH Green Zone, Barley Juice Capsules, Liquid Chlorophyll) on a regular daily basis and then frequent small doses during actual heat exposure. This usually restores the minerals you can sweat instead of overheat. Drinking lemon water and/or Liquid Chlorophyll seems to hydrate better for people suffering from heat exhaustion than plain water. You may also need an herbal Vitamin C such as Rose Hips.
