Super Simple Help for Digestive Distress - salt water

Here's a trick that has been working for me, and I thought I'd share

it with the group.

A few years ago, I developed severe digestive distress, which

included bloating, pain, and general discomfort that could last for

hours, and it happened after every meal. I was absolutely miserable.

I went to doctors, had tests run, and everything we looked for came

back negative. I think it was around 6 months of testing this and

that.

I come across something that made sense to me. 1/4 tsp of good

quality salt in about 8 ounces of warm water, 15-30 minutes before a

meal.

(I used Celtic Sea Salt, but I know there are other fully natural

salts that would probably work as well or better).

The reason that this can be a good option has to do with basic body

chemistry. Gastric acid is primarily hydochloric acid, which is the

molecular combination of Hydrogen (from water, of course) and

Chloride (from the salt). If the pH of the stomach is not 2 or lower,

then digestion will be comprimised, proteins will not denature

properly, and you lose a significant aspect of the body's defense

against incoming invasion through what you ingest.

I hope this helps somebody. It turned my life around.

I will add that if you are on a salt-restricted diet, or otherwise

have kidney issues, please use proper caution.
