Guest guest
I was told by a co-worker many years ago that her Uncle had a brain tumor the size of a softball and he he took shark cartilage and shrunk the tumor down to the size of a pea. His also was inoperable. I don't know the quantity or risk factors (if any) involved but you may want to research it. Hope this is at least a little helpful. Having a mother pass from a very intrusive and painfull bout with brain cancer, I started looking at alternative medicines. For the last 6 months I have been researching a botanical called Mangosteen. It is a fruit from S.E. Asia. I had heard incredible claims from both the users of the whole fruit juice as well as from the people / company that created the category for the use of this fruit. Of course there are always claims of this and that, however here is what I can tell you based upon what I personally have seen. The fruit contains the highest concentration of Xanthones than any other botanical found. What are Xanthones you ask? They are chemical compounds (phytonutrients) found in botanicals that have been researched by hundreds of scientists for many years. There are over 200 Xanthones that have been identified and studied. The Mangosteen fruit contains 40+ of the Xanthones. There have been many papers written and experiments performed on the fruit. Some of which refer to the POSSIBLE HEALTH BENEFITS for those people that sufer from all kinds of ailments. This includes ailments from diseases liked to inflamation in the body such as cardiovascular, mental, infections, immune system, gastrointestinal, diabetes, allergies, bones & joints and yes even cancer. I personally have suffered for over 5 years with a back injury from two different auto accidents that happened less than 6 months apart. After visiting many different doctors, chiropractors and pain clinics without true relief I decided to accept the pain as part of my life. I have also had terrible seasonal allergies and chronic asthma. Two months ago, I started taking the juice. It didn't really " hit " me that the jusice was helping until . . . I realized my husband and daughter are suffering from their allergies and I'm not . . . I walked around the Women's Expo here in PHX on concrete floors for 3+ hours and didn't have to take anything for pain. So whether or not it is the juice . . . my physical ailments have improved drastically. The juice is the only difference I have made in my medical and personal / daily routine and I will continue to consume it. I have been so impressed by the way I am feeling and the tons of research I have seen, I have decided to market the product. You can visit my website at www.juicedoit.mymangosteen.com to learn more. I also plead and encourage you to do your own research at pubmed. If you would like to speak with me personnally you can begin by e- mailing me at juicedoit My thoughts and prayers are with you. Guest guest
Did these rats receive radiation also? Rena - craiggers_985 Thursday, May 15, 2008 2:19 AM Re: Brain Tumors I hope your daughter beats the cancer; radiation therapy has a rather high success rate with many types of tumors. These are my two cents. There isn't much evidence behind this but you may consider cold hydrotherapy in addition to the conventional treatments because brief cooling is known to stimulate parts of the immune system that are responsible for killing tumor cells: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17999770 In one experiment, rats that were immersed in cold water every day had a significantly lower incidence of tumors and their lifespan increased by about 5%: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3781978 One Russian guy named Porfiriy Ivanov claimed that cold affusions twice a day cured him of cancer. Aside from the stimulation of anti-tumor immunity, cold hydrotherapy such as gradual cold showers or cold baths can reduce fatigue, depression, pain and possibly nausea as well (these are often associated with cancer and cancer treatments): http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17993252 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18250970 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15253480 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6635105 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16558656 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15253480 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/13985984 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/5246975 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18058595 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11879418 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11561393 exposure to cold is known to improve appetite: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3781978 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7240034 , " jonathanagin " <jagin wrote: > > I was wondering whether anyone had experience treating a relative, > along with traditional western therapies, for an inoperable brain > tumor. Guest guest
Hi Jon, I am so sorry to hear about your daughters condition. It must be such a worry for you. Have you heard about MMS by Jim Humble. People have been using it for aids, cancer and all sorts of things. I am not sure about brain tumors, but I am sure you could search it on google. I wish you all the best. Guest guest
Thank you. I've seen this claim, i don't believe that shark cartilige has anything to it but i could be wrong. I'm a shark conservationist though, so i may be letting that color my thoughts. I'll do some more research. Guest guest
No, these rats were not treated with radiation because the purpose of the experiment was to see if exposing healthy rats to cold everyday would affect their health or lifespan (it's all in the abstract that I posted). After their natural death, the cold-exposed rats and coontrol rats (not exposed to cold) were necropsied to find out the cause of death. Cold-exposed rats on average lived about 5% longer compared to controls and the ocurrence of tumors was also significantly reduced in the cold-exposed rats according to the postmortem examination. Incidence of cardiovascular problems was increased in the cold-exposed rats (they had to die of something if they did not die of cancer). Guest guest
One of the most impressive, well educated voices in the natural healing world in Ingrid Naiman. She just mentioned brain tumors and the herb Boswellia Serrata. Here is the whole thing. Almost. Dear Subscribers, SNIP In the meantime, we have received the news that Sen. Kennedy has been diagnosed with a glioma, following a seizure at the time of the full moon. Normally, I would not feel to comment on what must be for him and his family, not to mention constituents and the public in general, a very personal time, but the next pdf is on Boswellia serrata, an herb that has been incredibly effective in treating precisely this type of tumor. I actually saw several brain cancer patients in Europe who were taking one or another type of Boswellia and was more than astonished by the quick recovery of speech, equilibrium, and coherence. I had published something very preliminary several years ago: http://www.cancersalves.com/botanical_approaches/individual_herbs/bosw ellia.html The pdf is an attempt to update the information and add some comments based on clinical exposures, mainly in Switzerland. This is one of those incredible situations in which " everyone " in Europe knows about Boswellia and several sources of the herb are available. Here, of course, very few people are aware of the German research. I opened many capsules to study the contents and ran experiments to see how readily the herbs are assimilated. Boswellia is a form of frankincense and the pdf covers five main types, including the carterii which we believe is what the Wise Men presented as a gift to the infant Jesus. The Ethiopian variety is a parasiticide and the patients I saw did have blood parasites and usually also a history of extensive travel to third world countries . . . though I would not for a moment suggest to anyone that living in a temperate climate confers any kind of immunity from blood parasites since we all know Lyme's disease is named after a town in Connecticut, not the Congo. Since Boswellia is not always used as a parasiticide but sometimes for joint pain or other conditions, it no doubt has many uses but the fact that people are unaware of its properties does not mean the herb lack those properties. In short, even the joint pain and inflammation could have some relationship to parasites or these conditions could simply be responsive to the boswellic acids that are often standardized in some preparations. The herb in its normal state is unbelievably bitter so however important the boswellic acids are, the resin is much more complex than the scientific literature suggests. The fact that boswellia is no doubt an efficient parasiticide does not mean that the tumors are parasitic in origin, but I suspect they are and that mainstream medicine is not interested in this matter and therefore not looking into that possibility. However, researchers at Harvard did publish some material on boswellia online about the same time that I did so perhaps someone will connect some dots and save Sen. Kennedy from a dreadful fate. We have boswellia in many forms: essential oil, alcohol extract, resin drops and bulk powder, and capsules and we have all five varieties (but not listed online). I personally alternate between holy basil and boswellia essential oils in my shampoo and conditioner because after watching my best friend succumb to a brain tumor, I never wanted my mind to become such a wreck. It was really horrific so between mercury and cell phones and parasites and all the other aggravating factors in our perilous life styles, I try to reduce my risks in whatever way I can. I am adding a couple more herbs to this list soon. One is nutmeg oil. It should arrive in a day or two. It helps eliminate parasitic cysts and larvae. Then, using the doctrine of signatures, I am big on periodic use of black walnut. The doctrine of signatures suggests that if something resembles a body part, it has an affinity for that part and walnuts look a lot like brains. & ! nbsp; We have black walnut in alcohol as well as alcohol- free glycerite (which tastes good, even my dog likes it.) It is also a part of several formulas. So, this might be a good time to mention a new web site: parasiteherbs.com. I just registered the domain name and am fooling around with the design and content now. Let's hope that the challenges faced by Sen. Kennedy lead to a miraculous shift in health care. . . hope I'm not dreaming. Many blessings, Ingrid Ien in the Kootenays, too busy gardening, gathering and tincturing to spend much time online right now http://freegreenliving.com http://wildhealing.net (rainforest herbs) http://wildwholefoods.net (whole food from the beginning of time) --
Guest guest
Hi Jon, so sorry about your daughter. I recall reading about supplementing with melatonin and brain tumors, may want to research a bit on that.
