Has anyone had any personal experience with radiation burn and

irritation in the anal area from cancer treatments?

If you've had this type of burn in that specific area, was there

anything that truly was soothing to use to help with the pain?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I have never had that type of burn, but I do frequently take detox

baths. This one claims to help with radiation burns. If you try it,

I would use sea salt.

SALT AND SODA:

This bath counteracts the effects of radiation, whether from X-rays,

cancer treatment radiation, fallout from the atmosphere, or

television radiation. 1 cup of baking soda and 1 to 2 cups of

ordinary coarse salt (or epsom salts or sea salt) to a tub of water.

You can soak for 20 minutes.

Hello Jean,

I have always been told that Aloe was good for burns, but I never

realized just how well it can work. I had burned my hand rather

badly while camping. It hurt so much and nothing seemed to help. I

didn't have a lot of options available either. I did have a jar of

Aloe Gel with me and began putting it on the burn.

It seemed to help but dried out quickly and the pain came back. I

instinctively put a lot more on the next time and found it took

longer for the pain to return. It took several applications, but I

was finally able to go to sleep and the burn was almost visably

healed by morning.

Since that time, Aloe Gel is always in my home and on trips. I have

also used it on sensitive areas as you describe with great results.

I am not sure how well it will work on radiation burns, but the trick

is to apply a lot of it and often. It is not an expensive item. You

can buy a bottle of gel in most drug stores.

Sending you love and light...
