I am looking for the forums input on the value of taking concentrated

green supplements. I'm sure most of you have heard of nutritional

supplements that are concentrated forms of organically grown grasses,

vegetables, herbs, etc. They have ingredients like Alfalfa leaf,

parsley leaf, carrot root, shave grass, rosemary leaf, etc. One that I

have taken previosuly is called " Supreme Greens " .

In any case, I am curious to know what you all think about this genre

of nutritional supplement. Is it all marketing and fluff or

do " concentrated green supplements " really have a health benefit. All

opinions and testimonials welcome.

I have used only one kind of green supplement, and that is organic

wild aphanizomenon flos aquae, a kind of blue green algae. It has got

the most chlorophyll of any plant on earth, it has vitamins, trace

minerals, amino acids, protein...actually, it has everything in a

balanced form. (The amino acid profile of it is the same profile as

human blood!)

I have had great results with my sinus problem clearing up, and two of

my cats lived to be 23, after being on the product for the last 12

years of their lives.

If you are in the market for a green supplement, I would suggest that

you do a lot of research - organic is of course the best, veggie caps

are the best (in my opinion, unless you like to eat horses hooves),

check to see how the ingredients are grown, where they are grown (lots

of stuff comes from China), how it is processed (heat kills nutrients

especially chlorophyll), what is used for fillers, how ethical the

company is, etc....

Hi,

I've taken several types of green supplements. Some work some don't. I

took one made made of phytoplankton and the sales person tried to tell

me that this is the " cure all " because whales survive on phytoplankton

and live hundreds of years. I took it and it did nothing.

I did have great experiences with New Chapter " Berry Green " . After

taking it I feel great. It seems to give me energy and makes me feel

clean inside. It's a food based supplement not chemical like many...

maybe that is the difference. The bottle says that it is freeze dried

and which makes the nutrients more stable.

Cheers
