Guest guest
Hello, I hope someone can help me. My college age sister has been very depressed lately. Her boyfriend dumped her and the program she just switched to is a lot harder than she thought it would be. She doesn't want to do anything anymore, not even go to class or take a walk. My mother thinks hormones might have something to do with it, since she just stopped taking her birth control about a month ago. She didn't like the way it made her feel. She has always been moody / stressed. But this has gotten bad. Is there anything that anyone can recommend to help her feel better. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi, she might give a try to gradual cold showers (they are not frightening and easy to do compared to sudden cold showers). http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17993252 Other relevant studies: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15253480 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6635105 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10885123 I personally find that gradual cold showers have an instant positive effect on mood and the energy level. Good luck, Craig , " sailsharks " <jennifer_reid_574 wrote: > > Hello, > I hope someone can help me. My college age sister has been very > depressed lately.
