Guest guest
Hello all and thankyou for reading this post... Like i said, i've been suffering frequent (daily) bouts of unexplained quesiness for months (possibly longer, i was first diagnosed with reflux 2 years ago) now. About once a week or so, lasting one or two (sometimes more) days i get even MORE sick- not vomiting, but quite ill. The illness seems to be more in more than just my stomach- it seems to take up my whole body. As the day goes on it gets worse, and i am often left feeling shaky, weak and very sick by the end of the day. I am often very tired/ exhausted even on days when i am not feeling too sick. The nausea is often accompanied by a painful throat (i think my throat muscles clench up from the nausea), and pain all through my stomach and bowels- often aches, sometimes cold or icy/ burning feelings. Poking my tummy anywhere from my belly button to my chest is painful or very tender. Sometimes i feel light-headed or have trouble focusing on things around me, or my head feels fuzzy, as if packed with cotton wool. If i get too little sleep (read: less than 8 hours) i'll get even sicker... sleeping for 12 hours on the other hand often leaves me feeling much better than i usually am. My periods are a joke (completely irregular, and brown and heavy instead of red- though i do have polycystic ovarian syndrome which maybe explains it). I have had an abdominal ultrasound as well as a pelvic ultrasound, and a gastroscopy and all we've found so far is the polycystic ovaries and MILD gastritis, which i am taking the drug Nexium for. I also sometimes suffer a 'tightness'- feeling of pressure in my chest, and feel as if its a bit harder to breathe than normal, as if my whole chest has been stuffed with cotton wool too. Infact, i've been wondering lately if i have a thyroid problem or a hormonal problem (which i spose would make sense considering i don't deal with stress too well- get sick whenever i'm stressed or anxious- and of course, because of the polycystic ovaries) I'm kinda at my wits end with this- getting very VERY tired of being sick all the time, and planning my life around the fact that i am often sick. I am normal weight- possibly slightly underweight- 50kgs and 20 years old, 167cm or so tall, though my weight does fluctuate between 47 and about 55 kilos with no reason... If any of you can think of any tests or types of pratitioners, or ANYTHING that might help me find an answer- i would be EXTREMELY grateful. Thanking you very much in advance, Allison. Guest guest
WHOA.. just read an interesting article regarding candida overgrowth- it was creepily accurate when describing the symptoms of candida overgrowth. anyone have an opinion? , " born_of_beltane " <mysteriousdarkness wrote: > > Hello all and thankyou for reading this post... > > Like i said, i've been suffering frequent (daily) bouts of > unexplained quesiness for months (possibly longer, i was first > diagnosed with reflux 2 years ago) now. Guest guest
Hi ..I encourage you to seek out a well trained TCM Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor. I have had similiar symptoms and found a practitioner who is also an MD (I am lucky) who absolutely helped me with accupucture and herbs especially for " heat of the liver " and I was also refered to a food book written by Paul Pitchford called Healing with Whole foods, modern nutrition and asian traditions. Read wood chapter. I cannot begin to tell you how I have been helped. Liver Heat... start by using bitters and doing liver friendly foods. Seriously. Guest guest
Allison, I still feel the Nexium is causing ALOT of your problems and you're probably on the right track with the Candida. (Who knows if the Nexium threw off your internal flora or if it was like that before). There is a questionnaire and free test here which I used to confirm that I had Candida. Upon my own confirmation I went to the health food store and found an internal cleanse. Energy started coming back and I started feeling like my old self again. Doing the cleanse was easier than changing my diet which I did as well. Now, as Megan pointed out, I am doing a liver cleanse to feel even better. I have slipped back into some old eating patterns, but the days of pizza every night for years are long gone. Let us know how you make out. It's so great to see that your on the right track at such a young age! Blessings...Liz " Be mindful that happiness is not based on possessions, power, or prestige, but on relationships with people you love and respect. Guest guest
Hey, sorry, i didn't realise you had answered until now. Um, i live in australia and have never been overseas. I do believe i have a candida overgrowth as i have a lot of the symptoms of that plus the white tongue etc. But i strongly believe it was originally caused by stress- whether that stress has triggered something else or not, i don't know. I'm seeing a chinese med practitioner and a GP who is trained in alternative medicine, and the GP seems very good- she has asked me to do a salive test checking my adrenal stress levels or something, and a live blood celle analysis which i hope will show up any parasites or anything if i have any. thankyou for all your suggestions. , cheryl bullock <cooee.shari wrote: > > i am presuming you have had more than a few visits to your regular doc about this---and they can't find a reason for your illness-or name it-------- if you haven't then go back and insist they send you to someone that will do lots of tests-untill you know for sure what it is then it is hard to treat-however a few things to make you feel a bit better-would be--- slippery elm------daily or twice per day--drink at least 2 lts of water without flavoring daily ( That does not include tea ad coffee beverages) , vit c supliments or rosehip tea-i would suggest a liver flush, if you need the recipe then contact me- which country do you live in-have you travelled in the last few years to asia, africa etc--as you may have a host that needs to be flushed out, you could have a fluke or worms from just eating under cooked meat-somewhere in your home town--do you live in the city or country---- if stress is an issue for you then you must learn to manage it, learn to meditate for > sure-do relaxation exercise-------you may have exhausted adrenals if you need to sleep so much- take iron preferably in food. Guest guest
hello all!... bringing back one of my old posts with some ner information.... Unfortunately it has finally gotten to the stage where i am too sick to go to university (uh oh) and usually too sick to make it to school as well (double uh-oh). My live blood cell microscopy showed a bad candida/ bacteria/ or parasitic infection, and bad deficiencies in omega 3/6/9, vit B12 and folate. My naturopath thinks i have a thyroid problem and several mineral/ vitamin deficiencies. My point is, i exist most days with a sore head (the pain seems to radiate from the back of my head, but who knows, its kinda vague), dizziness and vagueness (i never know whats going on, can't conccentrate), sore throat that often feels as if its trying not to gag, quite bad nausea (thoughg i'm not quite throwing up yet), no energy (even walking up a flight of stairs or getting up to fast will leave my heart hammering and me dizzy and breathless), diarhoea, no appetite, feeling as if i'm not geting enough air... THe list just goes on and on, and i'm getting sicker and sicker... Cureently my GP who is also into natural health (who oredered the live blood cell microscopy) wants me on colloidal silver, uva ursi, citrus seed extract and gastrocare excel (protein drink made from bovine colostrum), which seems to be making my stomach even more acidic- reflux is worse and i made the HORRIBLE mistake of taking Advil the other day- i have NEVER had heartburn anything like what i had after taking advil, it was terrible!... My naturopath, who i just started seeing, wants me on sea minerals (which unfortunately, don't sound too convincing, but i'm no doctor), wormwood complex in small doses and potassium... Basically to sum up- i'm wondering if the problems they've found so far on my microscopy (candida, omega and folate dificiencies) can really all be behind this intense and ongoing pain and illness? And will a program of what is essentially (as far as i can tell) small particles of silver suspended in water, and concentrated ocean water, really make me better again? (P.S. I haven't been on the drug Nexium or any other drug except Maxalon for the nausea, only when i really need it. I also expereinced brief relief on herbs and acupuncture but this went away again (though i think in all honesty i did become irregular with taking my herbs. my bad. still, it was only mild relief not complete relief)) , " born_of_beltane " <mysteriousdarkness wrote: > > Hello all and thankyou for reading this post... > > Like i said, i've been suffering frequent (daily) bouts of > unexplained quesiness for months (possibly longer, i was first > diagnosed with reflux 2 years ago) now. Guest guest
Hi, i would suggest you first get your blood culture done. everything starting from your hemoglobin to any mutated cells that may be there, needs to be tested. i am sure a comprehensive blood test would bring to light the real reason for your ailments. wishing you good health pari , " born_of_beltane " <mysteriousdarkness wrote: > > hello all!... bringing back one of my old posts with some ner > information.... > > Unfortunately it has finally gotten to the stage where i am too sick > to go to university (uh oh) and usually too sick to make it to school > as well (double uh-oh). Guest guest
Allison, I am not a doctor, but it sounds to me as if you are inadvertantly coming into contact with some type of poison. It is a good suggestion to have comprehensive blood testing done. But if at all possible I would try to get away from your current residence/companions for at least three days and see if the symptoms begin to abate. There are some poisons which unless you are being specifically tested for them, will not be apparent. Contact me offgroup if you want. I never charge to help. , " swargrajkumari " <swargrajkumari wrote: > > Hi, > i would suggest you first get your blood culture done. wishing you good health > pari > > , " born_of_beltane " > <mysteriousdarkness@> wrote: > > > > hello all!... bringing back one of my old posts with some ner > > information.... > > > > Unfortunately it has finally gotten to the stage where i am too sick > > to go to university (uh oh) and usually too sick to make it to school > > as well (double uh-oh). Guest guest
Dear Allison, living in different parts of the world could sometimes pose some basic problems. I am not so sure what you mean when you say that you have had a live blood cell microscopy done. I do not, by any chance mean to scare you but it would be fool hardy if i do not suggest what i feel (should not be!!! ),just possibly could be the reason of your ailments. What I am suggesting is that you get yourself tested for leukemia. I know it is a dreaded word but it is better to get the test done and if all is fine(I WOULD HONESTLY PRAY TO GOD FOR THIS)then you can go on for some holistic treatment. In the meanwhile i would suggest you to get onto wheat grass therapy. it is a very very good blood purifier. Above all, always remember, God always gives us strength to deal with everything that comes our way. Have faith in Him best always pari , " born_of_beltane " <mysteriousdarkness wrote: > > I had a live blood cell microscopy done.. is that anything like what > you mean? > > , " swargrajkumari " > <swargrajkumari@> wrote: > > > > Hi, > > i would suggest you first get your blood culture done. > > everything starting from your hemoglobin to any mutated cells that > may > > be there, needs to be tested. > > i am sure a comprehensive blood test would bring to light the real > > reason for your ailments. > > > > wishing you good health > > pari > > > > , " born_of_beltane " > > <mysteriousdarkness@> wrote: > > > > > > hello all!... bringing back one of my old posts with some ner > > > information.... > > > > > > Unfortunately it has finally gotten to the stage where i am too > sick > > > to go to university (uh oh) and usually too sick to make it to > school > > > as well (double uh-oh). Guest guest
Hm.... My blood tests over the past 2/ 3 years (as long as i've felt this way for- though it used to be a lot better!!) have been relatively normal so i would think if i'd had leukeamia they would have found it by now... As for poisoning.. well i don't know. The oddest thing about my illness is that the symptoms i've mentioned are only temporary- they last a few weeks then fade away again for awhile (from a couple of weeks to even a month or two) then fade back in again. Not sure if they get worse or better every time. Inbetween these periods of intense illness, i exist just with mild tiredness, sore stomach and nausea on & off especially after eating, heartburn, mild headaches every now and then, and mild aches and pains. I get mild symptoms of vaginal thrush, and have a white coating on my tongue (though, i think its fading since i started natural treatments for candida infection). I'm thinking of getting the ElISA test done to test for food allergies once i'm a bit better (i hear that candida and leaky gut, both of which i have, makes you have allergic responses to a lot of things you don't usually have responses too)... Wish me luck, and thankyou for your responses! They are VERY much appreciated! Allison
