About two weeks ago I cleaned my ears with Qtips and now I can't hear

anything. Is there an oil or ointment I could use to remedy the

situation????? I got tired of increasing ear wax formation. I know I am

not suppose to use Qtips but I got tired of too much ear wax.

Thanks. AL. [:-/]

You should try ear coning. It will pull out all of

the wax, bacteria, fungus, and lots of other yummy

stuff. You have to have someone who can do it for

you, but that could easily be a friend, no

professional needed. I do it all the time for my dh

and anyone who asks, after watching it done once. I

don't do it, but the girl I originally watched used

EOs on the outside as well.

Ear coning is what I was going to suggest as well. With all that's

probably in there, though, make sure you use at least two cones per

ear. I didn't even think I had that much of a problem, but I only had

one cone done by my stepdaughter, and a day or two later, I was in

pain! I was told later by a pro that you need to do at least two if

you haven't done it regularly.

I had the cotton wool come off and had to go to a doctor to have the

cotton wool bud removed.

We usually do two per ear as well. The girl who

originally showed me how to do it also said to put

some olive oil on a q-tip and swab it in your ear

after to help with it becoming irritated from the

coning.

If you search " ear coning " you should find lots of

info. You can purchase the ear cones pretty much at

any health food or natural food store, like Whole

Foods. You take the cones and make a tight seal and

light the end on fire (obviously not the one in your

ear). If you see smoke around the ear try to

reposition the cone until it makes a tight seal. It

will create a vacuum and start pulling everything out

of the ear. While this is the basic concept, I would

google it to print up better directions. Good luck.
