Friday evening, April 11, Free Introduction, 7 pm Caritas Spiritist Center 3775 Iris Ave, Boulder RSVP and Directions: <office or 303 449-3066 Friday evening will start with a short overview of the astronomical alignments in 2012 and themes from the Mayan calendar. We will also compare Merlin's prophesies and other Celtic legends about this time of change. Then we will explore positive views of the future from Andean mystical traditions and Peruvian shamanic practices. Workshop, Saturday, April 12, 10 am - 5 pm $80 ($75 before April 4) Location: Caritas Spiritist Center, 3775 Iris Ave, Boulder Information, registration, and payment: Edie Stone, 303-415-3755, ediestone Credit cards accepted In this experiential workshop you will: • Learn Earth-honoring practices for personal and planetary healing from Peruvian shamanic traditions • Cultivate sacred reciprocity: Rituals for Mother Earth • Receive luminous energy rites of the Q'ero Indians • Learn lesson from Condor, Eagle, Owl & Dragon: Rebalancing masculine & feminine Reconnecting mind, heart & body • Explore remedies for cultural soul-loss • Re-vision the future Experiential activities during the workshop include: Opening and closing ceremonial space within the Sacred Directions of Peruvian cosmovision. " Limpias " or cleansings, using a feather or staff and aromatic essences. It's like taking an energy shower with flower essences called " agua florida. " Receiving the initial activation of your luminous energy field in the tradition of the Munay-Ki Rites of the Q'ero, who are the descendants of the Incas. " Munay " means compassionate love. Creating and activating individual Pachakuti Mesas for all participants. A " mesa " is a floor altar; it is also an energetic map of the universe. It serves as a catalyst to focus healing energy for individual, community, and planetary transformation. Ceremonial rebalancing of the sacred masculine and feminine energies, and reconnecting mind, heart, and body. Shamanic journeys to create an empowered vision of the future. For those who feel ready to make the commitment: A " compacto " or contract of commitment to personal service towards healing the Earth, in whatever way is authentic for each individual on their path. Supplies: Participants should bring the following items to create their personal mesa (floor altar): A special cloth, approximately 1 foot to 2 feet square, to serve as their mesa cloth. " Special " can mean beautiful, magical, ancestral, Peruvian, Celtic, etc. Objects that embody the Four Sacred Directions and Elements: a stone, a shell and/or bowl for water, feathers, a white candle (and adequate drip plate!). An object for the Sacred Centre: a personally meaningful sacred object. Other objects such as crystals, votive candles, a staff or talking stick, and personal sacred objects or medicine pieces that you have created, been given, or found in nature are also welcome. Drums, rattles, bells, singing bowls, other instruments if you have them are welcome. Follow-up activities and further teachings: Edie will offer Saturday and/or evening classes in May and June to support your exploration of the Pachakuti Mesa tradition and other themes of this workshop, including Celtic connections.
