Is it possible to make your body too alkaline? I love lemon juice in

my own made carbonated water and drink lots of it. I also drink

organic apple cider vinegar in water which is a natural diuretic and

helps prevent water retention and lowers blood pressure. My second

question is, does cider vinegar make the body alkaline as well? I

probably ingest about 4 tablespoons a day plus whatever I use in making

food. I never realized the effects of water rentention until I started

taking the apple cider vinegar and the differnce in my legs is quite

amazing.

I believe that if your body is too alkaline, you can throw off your

electrolyte levels. I read that somewhere. The bodies balance of

calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium is critical to proper nerve

function and muscular function. Magnesium alone is used in over 300

chemical reactions that take place in the body and is generally

deficient in anyone with chronic pain.

That said, I am not certain how to determine if you are too alkaline.

I think most people tend to struggle with being too acidic as most

meats and grains are acidic in nature and make up a large percentage of

the average diet.

Another website I visited suggested testing your urine pH. I've never

done that.

Hope that helps :)

Hi

As far as I'm aware both lemon juice and apple cyder

vinegar acidify the water though according to expert

nutritionist David Wolfe Acidying the water is actually

more hydrating than drinking alkaline water. I've found

this to be true in my own experience. Whenever I used

products that increase the alkalinity of the water I

felt the need to drink excessive amounts of water.

Lemon juice and apple cyder vinegar are both good and

even better when combined with honey or maple syrup.

Hope this helps!

I've set up a group you may want to join. I've spent

years in seeking out the very best food products and

other health and wellness information.

Check it out - be patient though it's still in its

infancy.
