Guest guest
Hello everyone.. I hope this note finds you all well and looking forward to the beautiful spring weather. I would like to know if anyone knows what a peditrician might be called/or how to go about finding a peditrician who is up to questioning the need for all the vaccinations that regular peditricians want to give to babies now adays. My daughter has an 18 month old son and is pregnant with her second and every peditirican she has gone to (3 now with her son) has wanted to pump up to 6 different vaccinations at one time into him sick or not sick...and they will not do them seperately because I suppose it takes up too much of their time. She is scare to continue getting them with all the talk of even the possibility of them doing possible harm and also scared of not getting them. He had a reaction to the second DTP last year and she has not given him any more shots and has not gone back because they pressure you so badly when you do go even for a sick visit. There doesnt seem to be anyone to discuss this subject with like it was years ago when you could trust doctors to tell you the truth and I have no idea where to tell her to seek help. I have tried to look up functional/intragrated peditricians but only one comes up who is in Arizona.. I am on Long Island, New York and it seems alot of the doctors here especially no matter what kind they are, are more concerned about getting the most done at a visit to collect the most $$ from the insurance, no matter what the consequences. Her first peditrician told her she was a fool to hold off giving more vaccinations after he had the reaction and then come to find out two of his children are autistic. Any guidance, suggestions, information or help anyone might possible have, would be so greatly appreciated.. thanking you in advance and wishing everyone a happy spring Lainey
Guest guest
Lainey, I don't know if there's a specific name for the type of ped you're looking for but I would just suggest she interview a few and talk to them about how they feel about vac's. It's her choice as to immunize her child and she needs to find a Dr. who will respect her choices. We were looking for a Dr. who does not push meds and found just that. She could possibly just call and ask the office, but a good face to face is always good. Best wishes.
