Help for sensitive teeth?

I've always had healthy teeth, but, more and more, they are so

sensitive - almost worse than just sensitive. It was only on one side

on the bottom, so I've been leaving it be. My dentist says he can't

find anything wrong, but, if it bugs me enough, he'll take out the

filling (I was loaded with molar fillings as a kid), try to see what's

going on, maybe have to do a root canal. Ummmmm - nope!

Then the right bottom side became sensitive, and now there's a real

zing in the upper right when I chew. So, now I'm at the point where I

can't just *leave it be.* I'll talk to my dentist again at my yearly

exam in a month if it doesn't worsen. But I'd like to know if there's

anything in my power to change this.

Thanks,

Cindy

Thanks, Dev - I hate that stuff, but I may have to use it. Better than

major dental work, I think! Were your teeth hugely sensitive? Can you

describe more to me?

sensodyne works and it doesnt take long.. if it is acute pain,, rub

some sensodyne toothpaste on the painful part of the gums and it

works a treat.

I can't remember what chemical junk was in sensodyne, but it wasn't

something I'd put into my mouth. What works for me is brushing with

Pascalite clay. Wonderful stuff with a gazillion uses, inside and out.

It makes a marvelous face mask, removes stains, good as an intestinal

cleanser, as a source of trace minerals......Highly recommended, and

very affordable.

Thanks so much, Ien! That sounds good, though I've never heard of

Pascalite clay. But I'm definitely going to check it out because, like

you, I hate the weird stuff in things like Sensodyne plus I try my

best to not purchase from companies that conduct tests on animals.

Can you give me any other details on how sensitive your teeth were and

how long it took to see some change in the sensitivity? How often did

you use the clay?

Thanks,

Cindy

1/4 c white cosmetic clay (plaque removal)

1/4 c vegetable glycerin (creamy consistency)

20 drops tincure of myrrh (for inflammation)

4 drops orange essential oil (for fresh breath)

4 drops clove essentail oil (helps w/ the pain)

whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Lasts for 6 mths if kept

in a cool, dry and dark place.

And use a soft toothbrush :-)
