Guest guest
My Dad is elderly and he has been in and out of the hospital 3 times during the last 2 weeks. They said he has Fluenza A. He is seriously sick and is getting worse. I read that a very large number of elderly people die from this. My Mom said to me that I think he came home to die. She does not know what I read. I can't understand why the hospital has let him go home 3 times so far and he keeps ending up back there. I am disappointed with his doctor because it seems like they just don't care and I'll be darned...if I'm going to sit back and let My Dad die over the flu. He survived Cancer and Open Heart Surgery and I hate to see something like this get him. My Mom is not well and it's been emotionally hard on her as it has been on the family. I am a big beleiver in alternative medicine but I cannot bring My Dad to that side. What I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions to what I might be able to sneak in his food without him knowing it. He hardly eats at all and I really have to disquise it. I suggested to My Dad that he needs to boost his immune system so he can fight this off but he won't take anything unless it is perscribe by his doctor. Grrrrr...! I am so sad at the monent and mentally drained. Any suggestions of any kind would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Guest guest
Sooooo sorry to read of your problems! Do you think that your father would accept if you give him juices of fresh veggies and fruits? That should make him stronger. Moreover some of the combinations are realllllllly tasty. May God give you wisdom and strength! Blessings, Yannic - darlinshihtzus Friday, April 07, 2006 9:48 PM Fluenza A ...please help! Guest guest
Have you tried contacting someone who is in holistic medicine, I don't believe in what Dr.s do either, I think some know better and they think we want a pill for everything, your dad sounds like mine, he has a rare lung disease and they think its from the medication he has been on for years, and he knows it now, but he is still taking new things they give him. My ex father in law can go out and look at roots and all kinds of plants and tell you what they are used for because that is the way they used to do things we all need to get back to this. You might try talking to someone who juices also. There is so much we need to relearn we are all killing ourselves thinking a pill is a cure its not it supresses the symptons and usually causes another problem to arise somewhere else in the body. And your dad is probably like mine, when they get old they get their mind set something is right and it is really hard to change it. I hope you find someone to help him.......angelina darlinshihtzus <darlinshihtzus wrote: My Dad is elderly and he has been in and out of the hospital 3 times during the last 2 weeks. Guest guest
I don't know much about this Fluenza A. But whatever it is; it seems to me that strengthening the immune system would be the best idea. I have recently been looking into that for myself also. And one of the best things in my opinion would be to give him whole raw foods and fermented foods to eat. As well as organic wheatgrass and organic spirulina - they are both high in chorophyll (oxygen). I have a bunch of 'recipes' for Kimchi I have been collecting on a Word document if you are interested. Also cultured/fermented cabbage juice, cultured/fermented cabbage - 3 recipes here. You can also buy cultured/fermented vegetable starter. Kefir is good too; but the others are better in my opinion for the complete immune system - though the kefir is a very good probiotic and the digestion is very important as I understand that a large part of the immune system is in our digestive system. If you wish to know how to grow wheatgrass at home; I recently found two sets of directions. blessings Shan > Fri, 07 Apr 2006 19:48:03 -0000 > " darlinshihtzus " <darlinshihtzus > Fluenza A ...please help! > > My Dad is elderly and he has been in and out of the hospital 3 times > during the last 2 weeks. " !!! I am not sure where you live , but if the sun shines there- try to get your father out in the warm sun and make sure it gets to his skin! Dr.joahhna budwigs work is well worth reading on this subject and i've found it helps a lot -and it's free. also, you can boil up cornsilk and ginger to dry up mucus, and take care to regulate not only want he needs to eat but also what he should not eat (e.g. sugar, dairy etc.)and surely he could tolerate organic vegitable juices(not too much carrot and sugary ones -but lots of green and grass) add phytofoods and chlorophyl and vitamin c powder by the bucketful and (look up mattias rath's site) and garlic and ginger. and fresh clean water.use only organic vegetables for the juice! so, of the above -see how much you can help him handle.don't forget the fresh air and sun :-) > > > > > > Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.
