I woke up around 5:45 AM this morning-- a dream woke me up. I wrestled

with it for most of the day before finalizing my article, Black

November, below.

In a slip of the tongue, UK's Jack Straw told a truth-- Condi Rice is

Bush's protector. He called her Condom. Well, we've known what a dick

George is.

It's a new month. Wow, did March come in like a lion and out like a

lamb. We're having gorgeous weather here in southeastern PA. But

yesterday, we didn't get one single new contribution. Can YOU get us

off to a better start for the month? Please send a donation in.

Thanks,

Rob Kall

PS We're having problems with our COMMENTS system. Rather than fixing

it, we're replacing it with an upgrade. it will take another week or

two. After comments, we add blogging, with diaries, recommendations,

polls... only the best for our readers, our community.

The Taboo Subject At The Heart Of The Immigration Debate

Amid all the buzzword phrases being thrown around in the immigration

debate, one phrase has barely been mentioned: " free trade. " . How does

" free trade " fit into immigration? It's pretty simple: had America

actually had a trade policy that lifted up the economic conditions for

ordinary workers both at home and in other countries, there would

likely be far less demand by desperate workers for illegal entry into

our country.

Workers Get Up And Walkout

The groundswell against racism, poverty, and oppression shook the

streets across the United States last week when Latino workers, along

with supporters from labor unions and communities, walked out into the

spring air and shook their fists at fundamentalist politicians rushing

to defend white supremacy. United in struggle, these stalwart masses

stood together against elitist tyranny. They were in step and right on

time.

The Only Hope For The World

The world has gotten itself into a real jam. I mean a humdinger of a

nicely portrays the inescapability of self-chosen evil, the

the world; no way for the inhabitants of planet Earth to escape what

appears to be the inevitability of a hell of its own making... World

War III!

U.S. Experts Warn Of Iranian Intelligence Terror Squads If/when US Attacks

As tensions increase between the United States and Iran, U.S.

intelligence and terrorism experts say they believe Iran would respond

intelligence operatives and Hezbollah teams to carry out terrorist

attacks worldwide. Iran would mount attacks against U.S. targets

inside Iraq, where Iranian intelligence agents are already plentiful,

predicted these experts. There is also a growing consensus that Iran's

agents would target civilians in the United States, Europe and

elsewhere, they said.

John Pilger Responds To Channel 4 News Report On Venezuela

Last night (March 27), Channel 4 News broadcast a relatively long

piece on Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela. On Channel 4's website

you get a flavour: " He is in danger of joining a rogue's gallery of

dictators and despots -- Washington's latest Latin nightmare. " This

was a piece seemingly written by the US State Department, although

Channel 4's Washington correspondent, Jonathan Rugman, appeared on

screen. It was one of the worst, most distorted pieces of journalism I

have ever seen, qualifying as crude propaganda [and paid for by the

Pentagon's propaganda $$?]. I have been in Venezuela lately and almost

nothing in Rugman's rant coincides with reality. Factories are like

" Soviet collectives " ; a dictatorship is on the rise; Chavez is like

Hitler (Rumsfeld); and the media is under government attack. View
