Guest guest
There's something a bit strange about what you say. Oddly, 98% of those " richest 1%, " are registered republicans. Very strange. And, they give 98% of their political contributions to the republican party. Why do suppose that is, if the democrats showed the same inclination to support these rich folk, as do the republicans? jp - califpacific Friday, March 31, 2006 4:17 AM Election Fraud: " The Dragon at the Gate. Guest guest
I asnswered your question. Now let me ask you a question. Why have the top level or party leading democrats not stood up against the thieves, liars, and crooks, in order to help or protect middleclass america, on any of these issues, or many other important issues, for many years now. Voter Fraud Illegal and Immoral wars Banrupting the Treasury The Non Patriot Acts The Shifting Of More Wealth To The Top 1%. Holding Politicians Accountable. The Subverting of Basic Truths ...about the real reasons behind most of what passes for why each step taken in the downfall of our country and democracy in the USA. Giving up and undercutting all basic civil rights. Shifting Of All Power And Benefits To Big Corporations and away from citizens. Watching The Bought And Paid For Judiciary pull the rug out from us. Standing By With Their Thumbs Up Their Arse.. while our country goes down the tubes into fascism. And About A Thousand Other Things. Almost all of them , with very few exceptions, run over and fall into line just like the repugs. Frank PS. I don't concure with your figures that the dems only receive 2% of 2% from the top richest 1%. But they sure look to me like a bunch of guys that want to play ball and not rock the boat too and are probably looking down the road when " republican lite " will be a more saleable brand , " califpacific " <califpacific wrote: > > , " John Polifronio " > <counterpnt@> wrote: > > > > There's something a bit strange about what you say. Guest guest
Before you ask me why the " democrats " have not stood up against tyranny, answer the question: why haven't the " republicans " stood up against tyranny? The courage you're looking for in the dem party, isn't a characteristic of democrats, or certainly not a characteristic of republicans; it's a characterisitic found in " some " human beings. Most democrats are spineless, not because they're democrats (I can't believe I'm saying this), but because they're human beings. What you think is capitulation to the republicans, what you call foolishly, " republican lite, " is nothing but human nature, and it isn't appearing for the first time, at the moment in history, that the Bush administration is creating chaos everywhere. What you call republican lite, has always been there. The republicans are a party that is displaying utter and complete submission to the will of their tyrant, whoever it is; even if it's a halfwit like Bush. The democrats, with notable examples, are, to use Nader's words " a little better, " than the republicans. That's the way it has always been. That's why I'm a democrat; because they're a " little better " than the other side. That's all I expect from political parties. I vote for the party that's a " little better, " and then I go away, and do the real work that will bring change in society. Face it. Do something about it. Because if you're going to see the change you want, " you " are going to have to make it happen. You, yes " you. The Rebublican poiticians are not standing up to tyranny, so far, because they have been benefiting along the way on the road to tyranny. That is the only reason that makes sense to me. So again why aren't most the democrats doing anything? If the democratic rank and file are being crapped on why aren't their leaders screaming to high heavens? Maybe because they no longer have their rank and file as their prime interest. > > The courage you're looking for in the dem party, isn't a > >characteristic of democrats, or certainly not a characteristic of > >republicans; it's a characterisitic found in " some " human beings. >Most democrats are spineless, not because they're democrats (I can't >believe I'm saying this), but because they're human beings. What you call >republican lite, has always been there. That is utter foolishness. The leaders of the democratic party consciously and deliberated chose a course of action to take them to the right. They modeled themselves to be more in accordance with what is acceptable to Big Business and less as to what is best for the populace. >The republicans are a party that is displaying utter and complete >submission to the will of their tyrant, whoever it is; even if it's a >halfwit like Bush. The subject is the democratic party and instead of being honest about that, you want to keep talking about the republicans. The repugs certainly do not represent the interests of the people, but more and more over the years neither do the democrats. >The democrats, with notable examples, are, to use Nader's words " a >little better, " than the republicans. That's the way it has always >been. That's why I'm a democrat; because they're a " little better " >than the other side. That's all I expect from political parties. I >vote for the party that's a " little better, " That is one of the poorest excusses that I have ever heard to support some political party. That attitude doesn't bring about change, that attitude perpetuates the staus quo. It is exactly because of such nonsense as... " That's all I expect from political parties. I vote for the party that's a " little better, " that we now find ourselves about to lose our country and all that it means. Nader also said that the top 5% have two political parties representing them and the other 95% have none. If the bastards sought election to be our leaders then it seems reasonable to expect them to lead, not lie down. If they can't lead then they do not deserve to be in there. They should be thrown out on their asses. As for the repubs, the conservatives ought to clean house and put all of those thrown out in jail. Everybody both right and left better wake up and take their parties back in the hope that we all may once again have a livable country. >and then I go away, and do the real work that will bring change in >society. Sounds good, but means nothing on the face value of the statement. In light of the previous statements, I rather doubt the value of any push for change. >Face it. Do >something about it. Because if you're going to see the >change you want, " you " are going to have to make it happen. You, >yes " you. " > jp I am supposed to do something about it? but I shouldn't expect anything from those poor democrat politicos, who are let off with that poor excuse of that " they are just people " because they will do nothing. Hell if I have to do all of the work, what the hell do we want or need them for? If their job is not to be leaders and not to stand up and represent us, then just what in the hell is their job? Which is exactly what I said in the first place. PS. I am on the net every day doing something about it. I am trying to make people aware of many things. What are you doing besides making excuses to give cover to a bunch of sellouts.? > > > > > - > califpacific > > Friday, March 31, 2006 1:08 PM > Re: Election Fraud: " The Dragon at the Gate.
