  Tonight, my local PBS station is running " The New Medicine " ; locally, it

re-broadcasts tomorrow afternoon ... check your local listings.

 

About 25 minutes into the program, a doctor tells his class that if they

insist on separating pain into physical and psychological (and I quote)

" you're

DUMB " . (emphasis his) 

 

Immediately after that, we meet a young girl who developed pain after a

" flu-like illness " .

 

Well worth a couple hours of your time if you can see it.
