Guest guest
My daughter is 12 years old and is in the austistic spectrum. A doctor (MD)that my wife and I have been taking her to has suggested we try hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It is the same treatment that is used to treat deep sea divers for the bends. The doctor says it may help her by increasing oxygen in her cells. He claims it will not harm her but it is expensive ($40 per session x 100 sessions). Of course he owns the chamber and I think he may be biased in his therapy. Does anyone out there have any experience with this treatment in austistic children? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks! Rich R. Seaford, NY
Guest guest
Sorry - don't know anything about this therapy. But do know that there are many doctors whom are having success with increasing the magnesium levels of autistic children. After the mag levels are up then many of the children go on to have chelating done. It seems that the chelating is more successful when the magnesium levels are up. I have been told that many autistic adults and children have low magnesium levels. Dr Mark Sircus has a website for transdermal magnesium, which has been tested for purity as well as % of magnesium chloride. www.magnesiumforlife.com/ If you have further questions, his email address is on the website and he is very receptive. Guest guest
A far as i know about hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), is that, it was been introduced a long time ago but this treatment is very expensive and the difficulty of this treatment is that the patient is is afraid to place inside the chamber. Actually, it is proven very safe but same as goes like any treatment it has also side effects but only minimal. Yes it is a good treamtment for patients who have oxygen depletion. M.
