Guest guest
When a child makes a device, we call it a toy. When a man does it, we call it a machine. A machine is as much an object of amusement to man as is a toy to a child. To call a scientist anything as a great man or super human only indicates the immaturity/childishness of the modern civilization and the extent to which the human society has shrunk today. Einstein was great not because he was a scientist but because he was a great thinker. Imagination and appearance overwhelmed man from time immemorial. And as the prolonged indulgence in imagination and fancy usually leads towards shortcut methods which then further leads to fantasy, and finally to addiction, like all sorts of guesses and fictions and which then replaces reality. Thus models, fictions or images replaced originals. The prolonged indulgence in shortcut led to addiction. Man, in modern history, was subjected to a new mechanical addiction called science (hypothetical methodology) which mechanized him to the core. When a non-science man writes a technical story, it becomes a science fiction. When a scientist does it, it becomes a theory. When science itself is a work of fiction (imagination) any further work on it cannot be anything other than a fiction inside another fiction. Machination as the Villain of Human Race Bible described it as Lucifer. Mary Shelly called it Frankenstein. Now, what you will call the villain-in-chief of human society today? Well, I can give you a clue. It certainly is not a human being, which means it can be a machine being or the devil the works of which/whom we daily see, for example, on the roads as the hells-on-wheels that go on violating the human rights for breathing fresh air which man freely enjoyed for millions of years and which it today goes on vitiating as if it is the ‘machine rights’. Machine rights versus human rights! The extremities of machination/mechanical-ness/mechanization that rules the roost in modern society only marks the superlative degrees of decay or shrinkage that modern civilization has entered today. The latest piece†" what the newspapers published on this subject today Jo Knowsley, Daily Mail (UK) CORRESPONDENT, reported on 12th March 2006 “A Potentially deadly toxin is being absorbed into bottled mineral water from their plastic containers. And the longer the water is stored, the levels of poison increase, research reveals. As the sell- by date on many bottled waters is up to two years, scientists have now called for extensive further studies. “The research by world expert Dr William Shotyk - who has vowed never to drink bottled water again - will be published in the Royal Society of Chemistry's journal next month. It is sure to revive concerns about the safety of bottled water, the world's fastest-growing drinks industry, worth £1.2billion a year.†“The tests found traces of antimony, a chemical used in the making of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, used by most mineral-water sellers.†First, science ‘helped’ us to increase our food production by using fertilizers and pesticides, making us temporarily happy with plenty, but only to leave us and our soil sick and infertile, apart from contaminating our drinking water for which it soon came out with the ‘scientific’ solution of the greatest ever profit-making industry†" bottled mineral water. Still, what is the problem then if Bottled Mineral Water too is toxic, for it must be music to the ears of the bigger science, the Big Pharma†" another greatest profit-making biggest industry in the world that claim to have every medicine in their list. After all, it is the spreading of disease that keeps it the LEADER. M.J.John http://www.fireflysun.com/book/john.php
