Looks like the intimidation of reporters is escalating. Make sure you

read the comments. Mine is the bottom one. Many of them are written by

fellow journalists who are probably not going to stop telling the

truth and will sooner or later be arrested, incarcerated and probably

get some of the first choices of concentration camps. I highlighted

some to check out and make it easier to read and less time consuming

for you.

 

I am trying to catch up but there is so much going on and while I've

been gone, things have stepped up at a rapid pace. It's truly hard to

believe these things are going on in this country. Even harder to

believe that so many still do not care. Let alone wondering what those

40% are doing to us. Not only have we been endangered by the apathy of

others, but we are still battling with people who agree with Bush who

are gladly given our children's and our grandchildren's freedom away.

Not that the apathetic aren't also giving them away.

 

Parts of the new UNpatriot Act have no sunset clause. That means it

goes on forever. Even if we got rid of Bush, there are many things

that will not be able to be undone.

 

The apathetic -- do they realize what they have done to all of us by

their refusal to help or get themselves informed? Maybe they think we

make these things up or that we are partisan. When you lose the 3

branches of Govt, democracy is gone. We have lost the 1st and 4th

Amendments. They are building concentration camps in the United States

of America. I do not understand how someone could possibly think this

is just about political parties. Did they not see these things forming?

 

See, there are three groups in America -- those who have no clue and

do not want a clue, those who sort of have a clue but do not want

enough of a clue to cause them to feel guilty for not being involved,

and then there is just a few of us who are doing everything possible

to try to get some help -- even though I'm thinking with the loss of

our freedoms now, it might now be too late.

 

Some may think we are just more involved in politics, so excuse

themselves. If only they knew that most of us were never that involved

in it before, but we have the instinct to respond to danger which

apparently they have lost.

 

I hate them for it. I could deal with it, but my children and

grandchildren counted on me to protect their freedom. I tried, but

without enough of us, we were helpless. Sad...just sad. And very very

scary for the futures of my grandkids.

 

THIS IS TERRIFYING. My note is the last one down on the page as I

said. The comments are very interesting. Since we could not get enough

people to help us save freedom, maybe we deserve to crash and burn.

On an unspecified day last week an employee of a federal agency that

cannot be revealed delivered a document that cannot be identified to a

company that cannot be named seeking information that cannot be discussed.

 

The aforementioned federal agent left the unidentified document with

an employee of the unnamed company. That employee then called the

owner, who must remain anonymous, to inform him that the document that

could not be identified sought information that could not be

discussed. The owner who must remain anonymous instructed the employee

to deliver the unidentified document to a lawyer whose name is

protected by attorney-client privilege.

 

The lawyer whose name is protected by attorney-client privilege

examined the unidentified document and then reviewed the information

that could not be discussed with the owner who must remain anonymous.

 

With the approval of the owner who must remain anonymous, the lawyer

whose name is protected by attorney-client privilege contacted a U.S.

attorney who demanded that his identity be concealed.

 

The U.S. attorney who demanded that his identity be concealed then

claimed the owner who must remain anonymous violated a law that could

not be disclosed and faced arrest for charges that could not be

specified because he had referred to the document that cannot be

identified in an article for a certain, but unnamed, web site.

 

The lawyer whose name is protected by attorney-client privilege argued

that his client could not be charged under the undisclosed law because

he had been acting as a journalist at the time of the alleged

publication and not as the owner of the company that cannot be named.

He had, in fact, learned of the existence of the document that cannot

be identified from a third-party, who was not named, and was not aware

of its exact contents because he had not seen or read the document

and, therefore, was not aware of the exact contents that cannot be

discussed.

 

The U.S. attorney who demanded his identity be concealed consulted

with others who names are classified and concluded that the owner who

must remain anonymous walked a fine line between legal and illegal and

would not face arrest for violating a law that could not be disclosed

on charges that could not be specified.

 

So walking this fine line of justice allowed the owner who must remain

anonymous to avoid confinement at an institution at an unknown

location for an unspecified length of time.

 

In exchange for his freedom, the owner who must remain anonymous

agreed to write a " clarification " of what happened, following the

guidelines for publication laid down by the Bush administration.

 

Which is what you just read.

Let me get this straight. A federal attorney whose identity must be

kept secret and concealed wanted a news story pulled, which also must

be kept secret because its publication violates a legal statute that

also must be kept secret.

 

If all of the above is true, either the blow back against the current

administration will be huge, in the order of impeachment or this will

make McCarthyism seem like small beer and the press will most

certainly be terrorized into a form of self-censorship that is

practiced in countries with totalitarian regimes.

knees in the interest of justice. I have more than 100 publications,

some of which are quite formidable. I have edited thousands of legal

documents and articles.

 

The above is the most brilliant piece of writing I have ever seen. I

am in awe!

I'm thinking this hilarious but ultimately sad rant was written in

" clarification " of a security letter your " company " received earlier.

Wasn't the Patriot Act " approved " by Congress to fight terrorists, not

journalists? Isn't there a a way to charge them in court for misuse of

governmental powers? If all journalists who received such nonesense

wrote about it as openly as you have, the public would respect and

trust them much more. Start a revolution, please.

If your site is finally shut out, we need to have a team -in place- of

your supporters organized to help spread the word.

 

It might be advantageous for you to preannounce and post your messages

on other sites supporting the constitution - ahead of time.

 

They might try, but I doubt they can or would put us all in jail.

Of course, I might be wrong.

But it is worth a try.. (Sharin agrees with this post...we

journalists and even the readers or people who make comments should

start finding alternative ways of contacting each other. Sites like

this one are going to be closing down. Doug used to work in the White

House. He has a lot of inside contacts. It has to be driving Rove

crazy that he gets so much information from the inside...just that

Excellent! This piece should be studied in literature classes

side-by-side with the works of Jonathan Swift. The Bush Administration

has great potential for immortality in the literary world of satire.

Future generations will think it all just as far-fetched as so many

So for people who haven't read your site before, you were issued a FBI

nation security letter requiring you to divulge a bunch of information

and you reported that you were given the letter which violates some

unconstitutional law this gestapo passed.

Did the government shut down CNN for revealing this national security

secret?

 

It's time for all true patriots to step forward in the name of true

If they've sent out 1,000 letters, let's see them try to prosecute

Hey it sure would be nice if those keystone cops at the unidentified

federal agency would spend more time figuring out who it is out there

who attacked the US with weapons-grade anthrax and less time worrying

about the political viewpoints of someone who happens to disagree with

faithful daily reader for a very long time. This particular piece is

brilliant and so very frightening. I am the mother of a marine

deploying on a second tour in Iraq and I have lived in abject terror

for seven months and will have the same experience for the next seven

months. Not a day passes that this administration doesn't knock the

collective wind out of this country. Keep up the good fight. If they

ask, by all means give them my name!

AS I say, I will be very interested to see if somehow I hit the

jackpot when I travel to the USA in the next weeks to see how many

questions, dirty looks, searches etc I am subject too. I know that one

is probably the luck of the draw but since I will be flying alot we

shall see.

 

I will report back on my return...unless of course I am not allowed to

return but given a suite of cells at the newest facility that isn't

being built and doesn't exist....or perhaps they take away all sharp

objects like pens and pencils and laptops, heretofore declared WMD as

they have the real power to end this farce.

Perhaps you missed it, but in a secret hearing, our president was

impeached, tried, and removed from office. He was then pardoned by the

acting president, and reinstated by congress. The Republicans felt he

was the only one capable of running a war on terror and the Democrats

figured he offers them the best opportunity to regain control of the

Hi Doug,

As one who has experienced a home visit by the feds I just wanted to

thank you for giving us all such a brilliant heads up. Having

experienced said (unnamed) contact I have found the most difficult

part is when you have to call all of your friends, family, business

contacts, etc. to inform them that they too may soon be sharing in

such (unnamed)attention: The love that cannot be spoken by name.

 

For those of you who have not had this

enlightening experience, it is rather like having to call everyone you

have slept with to tell them that you have exposed them to a sexually

transmitted disease, and a viral one at that, for it is possible that

it might " revisit " you throughout your lifetime. You can't take a shot

of penicillin and make the federal government go away.

It is rumored (or not) that I may (or may not) have read the unknown

story on the unknown web-site at an unknown date and time. Fortunately

for me (or not) I have an unknown medical condition (or not)diagnosed

by an unknown doctor at an unknown time which causes me to unknowingly

forget what I thought I unknowingly may or may not have read.

(which his not). My sister is like that. She agrees with Bush trying

to prosecute reporters who are writing the truth that have not been

bought out by corporate Amerika. She and her husband who is an

engineer own several homes. They have not been affected by the loss of

jobs in this country and that is why I believe they still support

Bush. A lot of people in this country have a very selfish attitude, if

it does not affect their lives they don’t care about it. Every night

I pray that someday they will the truth before it’s too late. Never

Thus far, since I happened upon this CHB article last evening, there

would appear two ways to consider the first and second articles,

followed by the rather large number of comments in response. (I don't

know if the 24+hr response here is normal, but I've looked at a

disturbingly large amount of internet, and haven't really seen

anything quite like this to-date. At least not in such a site further

removed from the other large choices in the A'x Jones'en web

smorgasbord, to say little about the reciprocal world of psycho

O'Really Land).

 

At first glance, the 'story' laid out in yesterdays Rant, would hardly

seem implausible in light of the last 5 years. Yet a number of

respondents have wisely challenged the authenticity of the reported

event. Some have requested proof (even if redacted, 'in-kind'), while

still others have even challenged Doug for outright fraud.

 

I'll first consider " fraud " , or in such a case as this, I would sooner

suspect " artistic license illustrating a point " . If completely

fraudulent, then Doug is simply a fool for playing around with any

reliability or respectability he might hope to lean upon for his near

and long future. At least in any career outside of US Government. He

probably knows that.

 

However, if only so fraudulent in time and place, it's hardly

deceptive should he be illustrating a most real and plausible scenario

happening right now to other people (if only according to Bush

himself, and his repressed AG (it's about the honesty, not about the

sex)). Thus in the worst, as fraud is concerned, artistic license is

still quite plausible, and hardly inappropriate. Quite acceptable I

might add, considering the " artistic license " currently employed by

the Powers That Be when they're queried for the truth.

 

So to the persons calling such material " fraud " and/or " fantasy " .... I

say, with a booming voice, " fuck you, TOO " . Where the hell have you

been all these damned years? Now you demand proof? Now you call out,

" Cassandra " ? Now you demand the heads of charlatans and

rabble-rousers? You're probably the same kind of scum-shits that have

been apologizing for kleptocracy and electoral shenanigans all along.

You too then, deserve to have a bold middle finger shoved in your

face, right now.

 

So then to consider " plausible " , " likely " or, " it actually

happened " .... I say, " Big surprise " and " Whoopee! " with all the

sarcasm I can muster. For those of us who've been cutting our teeth

for YEARS, beginning with fiat currency, individual sovereignty vs.

State Sovereignty, constitutional republics in order to limit

government overstep, and the hypnotic and highly addictive substance

known as " Power " .... this purported NSL is completely REAL. The kind

of " real " that people like Mr. Bush and his brand of Power Sycophants

dream of day and night. The kind of " real " they wish for, where We The

People should just sit the fuck down and trust them to do what's best

for us.

 

I stupidly wore a uniform under Bush 1 before I came to any real

sense. I wretched during Clinton as I really opened my eyes to

government waist and stupendous malfeasance. I boldly told people they

were absolute fools if they couldn't see Little Bushy manipulating The

Faithful to gain a power base. I was completely dumb struck at the

hypocrisy, and " popularity " , of using terrorism to fight terrorism.

The slippery slope has been icy smooth under our " Democracy " toboggan

waxed for speed. Didn't you know?

 

Yes, I checked my lead shooter last night. Yes, I took a quick glance

at my canned goods supply. Yes, I know how silly I look to many of my

dear friends.... at least to those still brain-dead on TeeVee and

Shopping Malls. But even if I'm still just out-right wrong, or

" insane " , that a new dark age is short on the horizon for my country,

so what? At least I'm not living in the complete fantasy world where

eternal War could ever equal everlasting Peace.

 

Prudence and History are absolutely screaming at me. If your ears

aren't ringing too... you're just an " F " student. A " Fuck You " is all

you'll ever get, all you'll ever earn.

There are independent thinking people, former Republicans, former

Democrats, Libertarians, Constitution party members, and others who

have totally given up on the process of voting at all because of the

plainly evident fraud involved.

There are those on the left who believe that they have a lock on the

truth and are the sole watchmen for this messed up world, yet there

are others who have been warning of this corruption for much longer,

the prophets of old and their successors today.

Chuck Baldwin's article pulls no punches and indicts the corruption in

the churches which has permitted this insanity, yet history shows that

the mainstream religious leadership is just as corrupt as the secular

leadership. God has not changed His standard, but those who claim to

follow God have consistently corrupted and perverted their private

interpretation of His message to support and promote their positions

and power.

God's message has been consistent, Love one another, even to the point

the antisocial behaviour which permeates this lawless world today.

Problem is that some would eliminate God and His rules claiming that

bullies. The evil in this world is manifested in selfishness, whether

The 'dissapearing' legislation here is for a minimun of 14 days. So

After reading of a few concerns here about someone being " disappeared "

I agree with some who say we need some alternatives or other ways to

stick together or help each other. If we don't, it might be too late.

They are hoping we are taken off guard and they are going to FIRST go

for not only the ones most read but also the ones that get closer to

the truth. They know Doug gets information from the inside and it is

driving them crazy.

 

I wish I knew how to do this but I don't. You realize how important

Freedom of Assembly has become to us on line. It's the only way we

have of getting information. I have no doubt that they are going to go

after the ones like Doug to cut off our " supply. "

 

Someone needs to come up with something because I think we're in some

big trouble. We are going to need each other and continue getting the

truth out some way.

 

Doug, if you are reading and have some ideas, let's hear them. Do you

have all of our email addresses? and do you give them to someone else

so that someone has a list of all of us?

 

Someone mentioned Harry Potter and He Who Shall Not be Named. Perhaps

we could get our own owls so we can send messages to each other, and
