Guest guest
Hello all, In my new health education, I've been trying to find a book (or more) that will teach me the basics of how our bodies work. I find many specific issues and topics that cover portions of our body systems (for example, I might find something that describes how yeast impacts our digestive and/or blood system) - but I can't yet find something like a " bodies for dummies " book that will give me a good foundation and overview into how human bodies function. I'm specifically looking to educate myself enough that I can begin to understand what makes sense for me, and what does not, in all the allopathic and alternative medical offerings out there. For instance, if I'm reading up on blood pressure, I'd like to know enough about general body systems to understand how a remedy might actually work, and, I'd like to know enough to understand WHY my body is or isn't changing toward greater health, based on various things I'm doing. I'm continuing to learn more medical lingo, but a book (or more) that is fairly easy for a layperson to understand would be ideal. Any ideas? Thanks!
