Guest guest
SSRI-Research@ Wed, 1 Feb 2006 21:00:23 -0500 [sSRI-Research] TeenScreen Picket Report Last night Penn High School in Mishawaka, Indiana (close to South Bend) had an " informational session about TeenScreen " for parents of 800 sophomores who were to be screened. The Madison Center (a psychiatric facililty) was to do the school screening and also receive students who were referred. The Madison Center heavily promoted this TeenScreen sales meeting in the local paper and even on TV. NOT ONE SINGLE SOPHOMORE PARENT SHOWED UP. It was announced at the meeting that out of 800 sophomore parents only 30 were uneducated and agreed to the screening. Who did show up in 20 degree weather? Parents Against TeenScreen! Congratulations PAT!! PAT = Parents Against TeenScreen. Parents Against TeenScreen is a group where parents share information, experiences and what can be done about TeenScreen. If you disagree with TeenScreen's goal of mental health screening of every child in the United States which oftentimes results in child drugging, this is the group for you.
