I have been wondering about silicone bakeware

being safe to use.I think it would make baking so

much easier, but isn't silicone toxic? And what

about heating it? All I can think of when I hear

silicone are those little packets of it that come

inside purses to absorb moisture,or breast

implants.Granted, you aren't supposed to eat the

silicone, but is it safe to bake with?

I wonder if this is

like the controversy over Teflon, which in the

meantime has been proven to be toxic at high

temperatures.I tried Google and Ask Jeeves, but all I

got were sites selling the bakeware.Does anybody

have any information about this?

I also wondered about silicone.

I'm seeing ads for a silicone menstrual cup. Is putting " medical grade "

silicone inside the body actually healthy?
