I am new to vitamins and supplements. I am a 34 year old male with

degenerative disc disease, high cholesteral and Hashimotos

Thyroiditis. I also have a terrible memory. I am actually in decent

physical shape considering all of that and I'm only 175 pounds. I am

looking for advice on the best vitamins and supplements to help with

the four problems above. I found articles on the thyroiditis,

cholesteral and memory but more information wouldn't hurt. I started

taking B12, folic acid, Ginko and Omega 3. I really want to improve

my memory because I am studying for a promotional exam. What I

haven't found is information related to degenerative discs. Is there

anything out there that will help rehydrate my discs?

Thank you

JJ

Find a good chiropractor, he/she may prescribe glucosamine , maybe msm also

and other nutritional support that they know about.----- Original

JJ,

Omega 3 will aid in brain and nervous system. Glucosamine will help

with the disc issue helping to moisten the tissue between the

vertebrae. Super algae may also be helpful in rebuilding tissues and

keeping things moist. Super algae also helps with blood sugar (thyroid)

Be sure to check for drug interaction with herbs. Keep your physcian

informed about what you are doing.

This is my no means medical advice and is strictly for educational

purposes.

Hope this helps.

Kristina

Glutamic Acid is time honored for memory/exams, etc.

You might want to try some niacin for increased brain function.

Have you considered plain old gelatin for discs?

Do you drink *plenty* of water?
