You likely prefer organic foods and may even grow your own fruit and vegetables. You may even read policy reports, scientific journals or breaking news on these issues. Each week, the Pesticide Action Network Update Service (PANUPS) captures our movements' dynamic progress toward a healthier environment. This digest provides the information you need to protect yourself and your family, teach about pesticides in your classroom, fight contamination in your community and make decisions as a regulator or policy maker. It's inspiring how many ways PANUPS readers use this service. Now we're asking for your help -- please make a generous tax-deductible donation today to support this free news service. For 23 years Pesticide Action Network (PAN) has conducted groundbreaking research, policy analysis, and campaign coordination, providing critical resources for more than 700 partner organizations and allies around the world. We're also helping grassroots groups document pesticide exposures in their communities and fight the companies making them sick. For example, we're training community activists to use our " Drift Catcher " air sampling device. These groups are collecting solid evidence that pesticides are in their air -- which helps explain why some of them suffer from headaches, dizziness, vomiting, and asthma. And they will tell you they know there's a link between the pesticides they're exposed to and long-term health problems. Please help us get the Drift Catcher into more communities. Your contribution will provide the tools they need to fight for justice and healthier lives. If you are a member of PAN North America, you recently received a letter asking for your support of this work. If you have already made a contribution, thank you so much. If you haven't, please consider donating now. We also want to hear from you about what you're doing to help curb the use of pesticides and promote sustainable alternatives in your community. Did you convince neighbors to stop spraying Chemlawn on their front yards? Stop town officials from using pesticides near your child's school? Start a community garden? Send us a message at community. We'll collect your comments and stories and share them with other PANUPS rs, to help inspire us all. From all of us at PAN, thanks for your support and everything you do to help create a healthier and more sustainable planet. Best regards, The PAN team P.S. - Something you won't want to miss: we still have copies of Deborah Koons Garcia's award-winning DVD " Future of Food " . We'd love to send it to you as a thank you for your contribution to PAN of $100 or more. Visit the web address below to tell your friends about this. Tell-a-friend!
